Ban TDM players on Arena

@l-snapper-l tdm is against the arena tos which you can be banned for breaching TOS, ie not playing the game as intended

Two questions for TDM players:

1. If you only do TDM to practice pvp, why do you keep doing it? Is it practicing pvp if you always practice pvp?

2. What makes you choose Sea of Thieves Arena TDM over any other pvp arena based games/gamemodes where TDM is fleshed out and is the intended gameplay?

TDM is fine, adventure mode is sandbox and honestly so should the arena be. TDMers just need to understand that people trying to play the game as intended will camp their boats for points and shouldn't complain. 240 wins is a lot and will take any advantage that they can get to mitigate the time required for LSD.

240 wins x 15 min = 3,600 min / 60 min = 60 hours total time played to get this achievement not including lobby wait time or games that didn't result in a win.

I'm not a fan of TDM and I think you should be banned for not allowing them to enjoy the game in their way.

Like spawn camping or farming? How about people spamming "rolls on deck laughing" instead of "well played." I've never TDMed, but in Arena half the people are toxic sweatlords cracked out on Adderall Gfuel and 100s of hours of experience of being as big of jerks as they can cause they can hide behind a screen and the rest quit mid-game because of the first half. And your problem is with people minding their business. Take the easy win and evaluate your priorities.

@eversiince I refuse to believe there is no one who hasn't used TDM to get their commendations.

Either way you look at it, endorsing TDM while opposing alliance servers is superfluous and stupid. The concept for both is literally the same; the players doing it just want to have fun.

Yes? What kind of question is that? Lol. Of course.

Practicing anything is, by definition, doing it repeatedly and/or regularly to maintain or improve proficiency.

What makes you think that people who TDM in this game don't TDM in other games as well?

Plus, PvP in CoD isn't going to make anyone better at PvP in SoT. If you like SoT, and want to get better at PvP in SoT, then you must practice PvP in SoT.

If you want to get better at naval, then naval. If you want to get better at PvP on other people's ships, then camp. If you want to work on tracking and accuracy, in a space where your opponents have more range to move, then TDM.

One thing I've been doing recently is queueing up solo in gally arena, and waiting on my ship for other players to try to camp me. I've been so jaded, that this is what brings me excitement now lol. Breaking out of a 4v1 is way more fun than being the one who does the camping.

Anyway, I still TDM because it's a good way to practice my aim in this game.

@stundorn Think about what you just said. TDM'ers, are trolls? They TDM so they can annoy people? Man you are incredibly out of your mind. Why do you think we TDM? To annoy people? To grind commendations? To lose games? Nah, none of that garbage, the reason why, is because Arena is nothing like what we have been asking for since the beginning of the game. A PvP only mode. The game is dead as it is, so where do we go? We essentially are protesting by TDM'ing as well. We want an actual pure PvP mode. This is what is fun. It genuinely seems like all of you complaining about TDM are people who got dunked on by some sweat.

thanks for clarification. not sure if the behavior in my video is TDM or not. they were farming score for several game in a row So I record and report them.

if they where in only one place they tdmed but if not they didn't

I skimmed through the video. To me, it looks like red was spawn-camping blue, and then cannon farmed them for points in the final minutes to win the match.

Which part should they be banned for?

Now, if blue wasn't being genuinely spawn-camped, and instead allowed red to kill them for weapon commendations, and then let them farm for a win, I would say this is unsportsmanlike.

But I wasn't able to gather their intent from the video, so I'm curious how you did. Unless you reported them based on your assumption.

In any case, this is not a TDM.

Also a heads up, text and voice comms between crews are muted in arena. They won't be able to see what you're typing to them.

Totally agree.

People calling for TDMers to be banned just for wanting TDMs are wrong.

TDMers being elitist and treating other players poorly for wanting to play Arena properly are wrong.

Hopefully when Rare adds private server support that will solve this nonsense.

Instead of having a go at this person, you should be getting them to help you request a seperate TDM mode. But instead you’re just as toxic as every arena lobby. No wonder you were all muted. It’s a funny kind of justice. Enjoy being stuck with a dead mode forever. Evidently it’s exactly what you deserve.

Look friend. The arena is dead enough. And usually if you leave TDMers alone you get a free win. So just leave them alone and stop being mad about it
