I love the idea of having a scaly friend to sail around the seas with. They dance when you play music, help fend off enemy boarders, and make things a little bit more interesting while you're down below patching holes. Yet getting one is a chore! First you must procure a snake basket, then sail around until you find an island containing the snake you want, and then, having gone through all that effort to befriend and tame the snake, they still bite you if you aren't always playing sweet jams! Even more unfortunate, they aren't even immortal like cats and dogs, making them ill-suited for life on the sea.
My crew and I have practically adopted a snake already. He's a Blue Dappled Snake, and we named him "*******" on account of his tendency to bite us for no reason. Whenever we see him we always say hello, but are tragically unable to bring him on most of our adventures due to the distinct rarity of snake baskets. I only wish this were not the case! He deserves to be apart of the crew just as much as any dog, cat, bird or monkey does!
So here I lay my demand (and heartfelt wish) that snakes be added to the game as a purchasable pet. Until this happens, I will not so much as dream of buying any other form of animal companion! My heart's true yearning cannot be quelled by any other such animal.
