In my opinion a TDM arena mode, where teams fight it out on an island, would be a great addition as it would appeal to the PVP community as well as improve the Adventure mode environment. Now I’m not saying that Adventure should be PVP free, however I’ve experienced several instances where my ship has been boarded and I am spawn camped by four guys for thirty minutes. Coming from a player who loves the PVP these situations are unnecessary and toxic. If players who just want to PVP on foot had the ability to do so in a specified game mode I believe they would choose to do that instead of be spawn camp in Adventure. On top of that, I’m sure we would see a spike in the overall amount of Arena players. Some of the coolest cosmetics in the game are locked behind the Legendary Sea Dog commendation, and giving players another means of unlocking said commendation would be much appreciated . Again this is just my opinion, but I believe this would be beneficial for all players despite their play style, if you disagree I’d love to here why and if you share my opinion I’d love an upvote so Rare has a chance of hearing us out. @jcrpdx You really once got spawncamped for thirty minutes? I hope that's a hyperbole. If not, that means:
- Those guys really sucked at sinking ships
- You probably should've used the scuttle button after ten minutes.
In response to your thing about removing those players from Adventure, I don't think it would fully eliminate the problem. However, I do think it would help move enough players out of the main game to mitigate the problem.
