As title please.
a lot of ppl suffer motion sickness with 60fps.
my gf is one of them... expecially during the navigation.
thanks in advance

While to my eyes anything below 60fps is heresy, I do see the need for an option to limit the frame-cap across all platforms.
I'll do my best to explain why below;
Lots of systems can't consistently run games at 60(+)fps and unless you've got a seriously beefy processor and graphics card, you've had frame drops when loading islands, in a fight, or simply when there are a load of particle effects on screen.
While 35-59 isn't too awful when stable, it can be nauseating to some people and even give them migraines when it fluctuates.
A 30 frame lock is very hard to shake performance-wise.
An option for a low but stable framerate would do wonders for folk with more sensitive eyes.
TL:DR - Though I am a frame snob, I fully endorse having optional frame-caps.
The more tools and options, the better! :)

Idk about Xbox, but in graphics settings for the PC version, there is the ability to limit frame rate.
yeah.. she is actually playing on PC with fps cap on 30.
actually on xbox series x|s there is no way to set that.

The moment it drops from 60, you can see it and feel it; some people find it nauseating and some folk even get headaches from it.
A 30 frame lock ,while not beautiful, is very hard to shake performance-wise.

totally agree.
more options will never be a problem :)

the point of doing what?

why i ve to joke about that

I actually had no idea 60fps make this worse...

For some reason I find that counterintuitive. You'd think faster, smoother frame rates would make it better not worse as it is closer to reality...but then again maybe that is the issue. I had a girl friend (not girlfriend, just a friend) that would come over when I was in college to play Doom on my Sega 32X and she sometimes got motion sickness playing that, which was pretty janky by today's standard.
Faster frame rate doesn't not make your player move any faster (as some like to believe/state when complaining about PC advantages), it just makes it smoother.

actually = now
now = there is no xboxseries x on the market
starting nov.10... she will play on a series x.
it's not that difficult to understand i guess

So...to prevent this issue, why not stay on PC then?
@gdn-gianniplay ...or...you know, human brain is a extremely good learning machine...if she plays a bit until she got sick, stops then, next day again and again...after a little while she should get used to it
I don't understand how higher frame rate causes motion sickness. I've never heard of this. For me it's the opposite, lower fps makes me feel awful.
If you get to 144 fps it's like a relief as how smooth it will become.
But I guess they should consider capping it for consoles if people suffer from this..
so for you is way easier to:
-not upgrade my gf's gaming station so she can keep playing at 30 fps.
-force my gf (as she never tried before) to play 60fps and vomit until (for you) she ll gonna be fine with that setting.
then:
-rare introduce a 30 fps mode.
legit

thanks for your feedback mate :)
@gdn-gianniplay not until she vomits...or does she instantly vomits after seeing 60fps?
This is just trying to find a solution...I'm out

I can't look down, watch my phone or read something when in a driving car...also played a few VR games...so yes, I know exactly what it feels like...but it get's better the more often you try it...
@gdn-gianniplay they made a motion sickness thread...look in the recent ones, I guess that one is interesting for your gf
I play on PC but I'm all for options for the consoles if it helps people have a better experience.
I'm someone who's quite sensitive to inconsistent framerates and frametimes so I can see where the OP's GF is coming from here (although I don't get it to the point of nausea, I'd get a headache though if it's persistent). 60fps is better only when it's locked, otherwise a lower cap is better for some people.
To be clear, I am not a doctor or an expert. This isn't me being dismissive to her condition, but everywhere I look up lower FPS doesn't have a relation. What I've found that is linked to Motion Sickness is FOV, Screen proximity, Matching Refresh Rate, and Head bobbing of character. What this translates to in helping relieve the symptoms is increasing your FOV and moving away from the screen so you aren't as close. Limit vertical movement with the mouse and focus on only left and right movement, simultaneously remove mouse acceleration if you can.
Should Consoles have caps, why not? I find it silly how limiting Consoles are, but I guess that is the price you pay when you buy what essentially is a hobbled PC.
