Ashen Fort of the Damned

    The Fort of the Damned is without a doubt the greatest thing ever added to this game. It's fun for PVE, and it's a whole lot of fun for PVP. It brings action to every server it's in and has high replayability. I think a new type of summonable fort with a big ticket item like the Chest of Legends would bring even more fun for both PVEers and PVPers. One idea could be an Ashen Fort of the Damned. All the loot is the same, but it's double because it's ashen. Since the loot is double, the waves could be harder as well. The final wave could have a fire version of graymarrow as well as ashen lords to back him up.

    A new island could be made for this, or the existing island could be used. Maybe there could be an ashen ritual skull that's hard to acquire and it turns the fort into an ashen fort, changing the fog around the area to red.

    This is just one idea, but really any type of new fort that requires players to summon it would be a ton of fun.

    The skull could be red like the old forts (the ones when the skelly lords were added to forts)

    @goid-hoarder Glad you like the FOTD. To me it's just is a MEH, kinda thing. But if you think a harder fort would be a thing then the skull should be the Gold Hoarders skull to activate it not some cheap ritual skull. Make it a very difficult choice to not only loose 10,000 gold of a skull turn in but also the possibility of loosing the fort loot to others as well.

    I really like this idea. They really need to do something with the Ashen Athena Chest. I feel as if the Devils Roar just goes to waste, a lot of people do not like going there for various reasons. I know they tried to make it more alive with the Chest of Rage at Molten Sands Fortress but even still then, it was a ghost town.

    Maybe with a reward of an Ashen Athena for some type of world event in the Roar would be rewarding and make more people head that way.

    @inboundbomb that sounds fun! Shores of gold and a new ashen athena fort back to back! That means alot more gold hoarders skull steals and more ashen athena steals!

    Problem is that while the FOTD has a great loot bonus, its rarely done in normal servers. The PVP is time consuming, so player instead form farming alliance servers and hide from the general player base. Creating a fort with even more loot is simply going to be abused further with one ship doing the regular FOTD and another doing the new one. Until the alliance server plague has been addressed I think Rare needs to slow down the constant inflation of loot.

    I guess the idea is alright. But adding more, or better, loot to this fortress is a no go in my book. It will only serve to inflate gold even further.
    Think about it. If every time a new event is added to the game gives more loot than the last, everything will just keep inflating out of control.

    Add some new items that offers something else, or opens for stuff. Just injecting more gold into the game will do it no good.

    What about not just Ashen Athena, but Ashen Athena versions of the other loot.
    Ashen Athena Relics, Athena Skulls, etc.

    Maybe we could even get Ashen themed PL cosmetics, ooh that would be cool.

    @omnipotence13 That's why it could be at the same location so only one can be done per server, but yeah I agree alliance servers ruin everything lol. Imagine how often we'd find FOTD servers if all the PVEers weren't sitting in alliances.

    @bomber-jane Who cares, gold is useless because they'll sadly never add any character progression. It could also be more time consuming to inflate it less.
