Tired of the task bars in Windows 10 appearing at the top and bottom of your Sea Of Thieves client whenever you're in your inventory or, for any other reason, bring out the cursor in-game?
This is (as far as I'm aware) due to an embedded feature in all Windows 10 applications installed through the Microsoft Store, which keeps them from ever going into a true fullscreen mode. I will include screenshot for visual aid.
This fix worked for me, hopefully it will for you too;
Step 1.
Visual demonstration;
Hit the Windows key + R, type in 'regedit' and press enter. Then navigate to the following regedit directory;
Computer\HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Policies\Microsoft\Windows\EdgeUI
Step 2.
Visual demonstration;
*
It is very likely that you do NOT already have a folder here called 'EdgeUI'.
If you do not, simply create it by right clicking on the right side of the explorer window, go to 'New' and then 'Key'. Name this new key you create 'EdgeUI'.
Step 3.
Visual demonstration;
Next, inside of the 'EdgeUI' folder you just found/created, right click again and create a 'DWORD (32-bit) Value'. Name it 'AllowEdgeSwipe', as marked at the top of the picture.
Step 4.
Visual demonstration;
Right click the DWORD named 'AllowEdgeSwipe' you just created and press 'Modify...'. Make sure it says '0' under 'Value data:' and press 'OK'.
Step 5.
Reboot your PC and launch Sea Of Thieves. Open your inventory, drag the cursor to the top/bottom of your game client and enjoy not getting any task bars.
I hope this helps you, it has been working flawlessly for me for weeks now.
Please reply if the guide is somehow unclear or if you have feedback!
Happy sailing.
