Despite being the most common fish, 300 ruby splashtails is an extremely steep criteria especially when compared to the other events. Fishing up 300 would take 6+ hours for a solo so if anyone wants to form a Galleon fishing ship, add me.

@wilbymagicbear If it asked for 300 of any fish it'd be far better. 300 of the most basic fish is such a hardcore grind, racking up something thats worth so little. Truly brutal.
I actually like fishing in most games (nice to do while talking to friends) but fishing in this one takes a very long time. You fight every single fish for quite a bit of time, even when you counter it perfectly.
For that reason, I don't bother with these events. Catching 300 of the same fish in a limited time doesn't sound very fun to me. :S@periscopes6187 said in Fishing Group for Sadistic Fishing Event:

I appreciate the offer but I don’t really care about this one enough to do it. If you use the Looking for Group tool on Xbox live, or look through the Sea of Thieves club on there, you can find a crew to knock this out. I see at least three crews looking for players to help them fish.

If you are doing it for the income, sure. But if you are fishing because you enjoy it, how is that a problem? Most of the tasks we accomplish in games never result in any financial return. How much do you make for reaching PL or Athena 10?
