I have one question, does loot de-spawn if you are a certain distance away from i?. Me and a friend did the ships and managed to sink all of them, but then another sloop tried to attack us (the loot was still floating in the water). But after defeating them, we went to the spot where (supposedly) the loot was still floating, but it's gone. So again, does loot de-spawn if you don't get it within a set time limit?

@dooby @Azrael278 Well, that sucks, especially when you have to grab it before getting killed by rivals or enemies that want it do. Oh well, hope we are fortunate next time.
@azrael278 We were getting shot in the side and they were would know if we were going to get on the boat with them. And they would come at one of us if we were in a row boat.
All treasure de-spawns even the treasure on your own player ship itself will de-spawn into nothing if all players are too far away from the ship for too long, Rare really needs to fix this, treasure on someone’s player ship should not disappear... period.. I did multiple skull forts, tried to save a bunch of treasure for my friends, left my ship hidden in the shroud with the shroudbreaker, and I took off in a row boat and went fishing for a few hours to work on hunters call, when I took the mermaid back to my ship the treasure was gone, except for like the last 2 or 3 things I looted... and I know no one on the map ever came by or attacked me.. why would they leave the ship and all the supplies and leave 3 villainous skulls but take the rest? Seriously, Rare needs to fix this.
Yes!!! A post I can get behind!! Same thing here but I didnt think i was to far away. Started my day just stopping at 2 close forts just for supplies. Had 7 gunpowder barrels. Didn't see an enemy ship all day... infact several hours later we decide to log off. Why not just sell my gp? But they had all disappeared. After that i started to ask myself if i remember any other loot just vanishing off my boat. If its on my boat it shouldnt dissapear is all im saying. Guess just remember all loot has a timer not just delivery missions?

Direct anwser to your reply. After my debacle I wound up looking online. Water loot is like 5-10min then it despawns. Reports varied. And loot out of water is reported anywhere from 1-2 hours.
