Legend title is officialy worth nothing. Guy got legend in 15 days during hollidays.

    I checked an account on the xbox app. He got his first achievment 24-12-2019 and he became legend 07-01-2020. I reported it because this seemed impossible remembering the amount of time I spent first 5 month after release. Only way to get merchant rep then... Collect animals...

    I reported it and got this answer form RareCSM:
    "Hello there,
    We checked, and with all the boosts over the Holidays, and the fact he spent a LOT of hours online, the account is legitimate! Thanks for the report though :)
    Best regards"
    No hard feeling against CSM ofcourse, doing a good job.

    But becoming Legend has become WAAAAAAY too easy and I'dd say the title is officialy ruined.

    Means nothing anymore... :,(

    Easly done tbh why would you report it?

    Are u forgetting 9 skull forts n fleets now plus loot in the world they only had to get a decent crew to grind it with I agree it means nothing now but reporting it is abit salty

    Well, after all, it's about the journey, not the destination. It might be true, that Pirate Legend title is no longer something unique, but If the person had fun during achieving this task, why feel bitter about it?

    @mr-dragon-raaar Comparing the grind first 5 months to now is ridiculous. I thought "Pirate Legend" would have some weight if you count out player like prod1gy but it seems as you might aswell be a sailorboy.

    Gilded Athenas is also so silly. Giving 3 athenas for basicly doing nothing xD

    It meant never anything, that's the beauty of horizontal progression.

    But think this way: His journey and adventures to PL dont tell an epic story.
    Like the 1st PL who cheesed it with crewhopping.
    Like all the Alliance Server PL's

    The stories they can tell about their adventures are at best boring.

    My journey to PL A10 and far more are just a little bit more amazing i guess, because i never grinded and let all happen by the way.
    Play since day 1, became Legend in Late 2018 and still play regularly, but casual since start.

    It cannot be devalued what i experienced on that journey.

    @mystic-nefro I dont see why you are defending Rare for making the Title worth nothing. Its like if they made the shrouded ghost a 1 in 5 occourance, would the title for killing it loose value?

    Would you be okay if they made the shrouded ghost appear just as often as the blue meg or would that ruin the title for previous shrouded ghost hunters?

    You can become legend easily within a week if your willing to put the time in you can technically be athena 10 without even doing a voyage if you have friends who's legend an that's all you do

    Pirate Legend title has always been meaningless unless you really really like doing Athena voyages. Now its just easier to get there...

    @sharktoothjake I mean, there are many other titles, requiring far more difficult grind than PL, once you hit PL you just start the second stage of the game, it really just opens the door for Athena commendations, not like you were finished with the game after reaching PL.

    I realy dont care mate, i'm another type of player, dont call myself a gamer tbh
    Gamers gsme systems, mostly exagerate about it, have pixel pride and become jealous about pixels and their "effort" gaming the system instead of playing a game.

    SoT is a gem to me exactly because of this. Horizontal progression!!!

    I wanted an mmoish, sessionbased, Sand or Seabox game without vertical progression for decades of playing games to habe not to deal with gamers bragging about theor effort and reward formula.

    I know i'm the exception here with some others and i'm for sure an oldsql player. When UO was released i was already 24 years old 😂

    I just think u reported somthing for nothing I did the grind withing the first 3 months but because the guy had x amount of voyage etc completed means absoulty nothing how do u know he/she didn't get into alliances for fotd? I agree becoming legend in 2 weeks is wrong because the person's or person hasn't got a clue how to sail etc but that's not the players fault it's the devs fault for making it so easy n putting a level cap on it

    Congratz! We played ourselves! Pirate legend is now pointless and will remain so until we have another crossplay-sized tantrum to change Rare's promises again!

    I'm saying it shouldnt be so easy to become legend compared to first year... I dont understand what you are trying to say? I understand that its easier but I think its wrong that the title lost so much value since thats the only thing you had in the beginning when they released it. All you had were the 3 trading companies and the goal was to become legend. You clearly dont understand what I mean.

    Ps before the update
    I had 4 shadow maws 12 ancient terrors 5 shroud ghosts n 8 Wood crates for every faction /comendation in the game completed with over 24million miles sailed so I know exactly what you mean when you say (becoming legend means nothing)

    Those of us who had achieved many titles in the first few months were awarded the over achiever sails once it all became easier.

    I couldn't care less if a new player reaches legend in 1 week. It effects me not.

    @sharktoothjake but it's not impossible to do matey I'm currently helping a guy to legend who bought the game 4 days ago all we have done is Fort after Fort n he's 49 across 3 factions he needs to become a legend I'm only helping out because I love the game n while I'm only searching for megs n dlc's to drop it gives me somthing to do

    @sharktoothjake I feel ya dude it's exactly like doing athena to get and them making you do it all over again or making it easy by adding cargo and taking animals out so it can be speed run quicker I honestly get the Frustration cos I go out an do the stuff n then a few month later they nerf it its properly annoying but going back to the legend it needs to be stopped or get less rep for items handed in thankfully they capped the level buying for debloons
