Hey if anyone knows, are the pirate lords staying in the game? For some reason no matter the region I go to I keep ending up with the helmsman. So I still have to kill the other 2 like 28 times each.

All Gift Seeker Voyages are time-limited for the duration of the Festival of Giving update.

The Gift Seeker of Legend Voyage is time-limited for the duration of the Festival of Giving update.
The voyages will be removed but the commendations for defeating the bosses are not time-limited so I expect they will stay for the forseeable as chance-encounters on Ashen Forts or they might introduce another way to encounter them. At the moment, grinding the voyages is a good idea if you want those commendations as I can see them being a lot more difficult to complete in future.

Maybe. I've never tried. I got a strat down for doing the voyages and it was pretty easy to solo. Especially the Helmsman, if you do the voyages in the Ancient Isles - only two possible forts and a good chance of the same fort. Bundle a few (4) kegs at a choke-point before digging and lead him there. Keeping hopping off at Plunder Outpost for new voyages and you can get through them very fast.
Forts are usually contested, I've rarely had any interference doing the voyages... and if someone does come, good, they can sell the gifts for you.
