This game has quite a following.
Many popular streamers generate free advertising for this game.
No doubt many Rare employees play in their spare time.
This game also has an abundance of highly skilled players.
In the culture of fanning the flames of community why not work with everybody to make a boot camp.
Think of it as a training session at the gym.
You have to apply for it when it periodically becomes available.
Sign some consent to have it published in a video etc.
Essentially you load into an empty server with the ‘trainer’ i.e a community recognised skilled player, a streamer, a rare employee etc.
They can share their best tips.
Maybe even have assistants i.e other players, debug commands such as spawning enemy skellies etc.
Your favourite streamers and rising stars and skilled players can give you one to one coaching for that session. Sharing some knowledge and stress testing you. Helping you pvp better, play better and survive.
Spaces are limited of course due to so many of us playing.
But the video will be accessible online so it could still help people a lot.
The reason i post this is because too many people cry “Oh No i got pvped, please make a safe zone, give me invulnerability, make an offline mode boooo hooo”
Well ive got a simpler solution.
Education.
Learn to get better.
Learn why you fail.
Learn to enjoy the game.
I enjoy pirating.
Honestly, given the chance i’d kill all of you on the high seas.
You could of spent 12 years collecting loot for your ship,
i’ll still take it.
If you cried and were upset i would be sympathetic but i wouldn't give it back and i’d still do it again.
Because im a pirate.
But most importantly....
because its fun. Its really really fun.
This should be celebrated.
So why not teach the PVE crowd the enjoyment of Pvp?
Many of us PVP participate in PVE.
But if you only dabble in PVE, afraid to break it to you but you sre only playing 50% of the game.
Thats totally fine too by the way.
But what is wrong is labelling our play style as wrong.
People can play the game any way they want but they should never have the right to say anybody elses style is wrong.
PVE all you want.
Just be cool when us PVPers come by.
So education would fix this.
Teach the pirates how to defend themselves.
Get the popular streamers onboard!
I wanna be shown pvp tips in a session by Sneakler.
I wanna take an island to island lore tour by Captain Falcore, whilst him having the ability to spawn skelly captains and ships for dramatic effect on this journey.
I wanna stealth from Summit.
Most importantly, i want to be able to PVP without being made to feel its wrong to do so.
