"Teammates" Joining to ruin your day

  • Oh yes so lovely having people join only to have them be useless for two hours, wait till you get a ship full of loot then either burn out own ship down or blow it up with gunpowder. Since I guess this is acceptable, I'm gonna start too WHY NOT. so every ship i join in I'm sinking it, no one is friendly among these idiots that join to blow up the ship and leave then bounce from game to game doing it over and over. Or the PC legends 😂 hacking through my ship. But whatever arg Matey's!!!!

If someone is useless and shows no sign of becoming useful at any point, it is best to leave before doing much. If someone attempts to blow up or burn down their own ship at the detriment of you and your crew, put them into the brig. You might leave the crew with them still there, drown or burn them in it, or simply leave them there while continuing on your voyages. As for 'PC hackers', that is not PC-specific or common, and any hackers should be reported. Players who attack their own crew are also worthy of reporting, and you will be too should you decide to follow in their footsteps.

  • Are you on your own ship? If so, WHY did you make it open crew? Rookie mistake. And if it's not your ship, WHY did you join open crew and expect anything more than trolling and griefing. Open Crew is the wild west.

  • I must admit i sometimes leave a banana in the pan before i go.. 🤭
Open crew is risky i dont like to use it.

  • You need to start making friends ;) Open crew is a Russian roulette with a Glock. There are plenty of communities with capable crew members that adhere to certain kind of standards / rules.

If you think becoming a monkey is better... Well that's just speaking badly of your overall mentality, not only in game.

  • If you are on xbox, i usually use the feature to find players.
You can do it for every game but you can create a post advertising for crew in SOT, or join.

Chat to people with a mic.
Partied up, enter the game with your crew.

I always imagine random matchmaking as the job centre.
Full of people looking to take ANY job and dont really care.

You dont want those people on your ship.

You want people to join your crew knowing what you are there to do.
I.e doing forts...people will be looking for a post about forts etc.

You’ll find you rinse and repeat these things a lot especially if making money is a priority.

I made a post once advertising hunting pirate legends.
Was the most fun ive had.

  • "Open teammates are bad, so I'm gonna sink to their level."

"You know there's features to find a better crew, right?"

    "Yeah."

"Well how hard did you try when using them?"

"Look, shut up dude, I wanted attention on the internet, not a solution."
