  • If your on console and off the top of my head I think you can go into settings then storage and select the default hard drive your games download to. If I remember right it gives you an option when you format the external drive for it to be your default drive and it sounds like you opted for your external to be the default drive for downloads. Other than that my thought would be to just unhook the external and it should auto default to internal.

    Hi Veno
Thanks for the answer, Im on PC windows 10 latest version all drivers updated but cant find how to make microsoft store find my Drive :(
I bought SoT so I kind of want to find a solution instead of asking for refund...

    Thanks.

  • I'm not a PC player but I did find this. Hopefully it may work for you. Open settings, click system, go to storage, find where it says change to where new content is saved and go to where it says new apps will save to. Then you should be able to select the partition you want your games to save to. I found this on the Web so I hope it's up to date and works for you as I myself have not tried it. Sea of Thieves is a great game and I hope you get to play. Everyday is a new adventure.

  • FYI: I Googled "how do I make Microsoft store find the hard drive I want to download on". So if you wanna Google it and check it out yourself. It's the first result.

  • @venomous-sloth7

I checked but I can confirm that in my Storage its already the D: (the one that I want to DL to) as the main storage files... :(
And I tried to type on google too, Did all the steps from another forum still dosnt work :((

    Thanks for your quick response

  • @SmallElk2820130 I am really sorry that didn't work for ya. I wish it would have. Since I don't play PC I am really at a loss now. Best suggestion I have left is contacting Microsoft Store Support and let them help you out. I know that is usually a very long wait on the phone but it's all I have left. The game is so great and I hope you are able to get your problem solved so we all can see ya on the seas. Best of luck to ya matey!

  • @smallelk2820130 not sure if it will help but if you have the Xbox (beta) app for Windows there is an option in the settings under General:

I am sure I have seen the option in Windows settings before but can't for the life of me find it!

  • @triheadedmonkey

Hey guys ! First of all thanks for all the kind answer !

    I finally find a solution !!!

For the one who read that with the same issue
    -Go in Windows settings
    -System
    -Storage
-Then scroll down and there will be an option to change the emplacement of the new content
    (Like Veno said before)
BUT there is a bug even if the HDD is the one you want switch to another one, confirm and then go back to the one you want ! Microsoft store will detect it right away !!!

    Bye

  • @SmallElk2820130 Awesome!!! Glad you were able to finally figure it out. I hope after all that you enjoy the game as much as I do. Have fun sailing the seas!!!
