@ruigtand-nl well if all of you are down there, there is little you can do, when fighting a kraken you always need to make sure at least one person is down there and one person is up top.
An option would be to kill yourself with firebombs but the respawning might take to long and you might respawn below deck.
If at least one person is on the topdeck he can shoot the short head next to the ship to get the kraken to release asap
Its terrible 😒 yeah wrapped us just at the right moment when all where down.. turned us in a huge pinata for megan and skellyboat to join the frenzy 🤕 well we could hear them having fun outside..

This is one of those situations that is just wrong place at the wrong time and hopefully you had a rowboat
Check rowboat with 2 fotd hauls it exploded by some hit and the swimmers died 🤕 we got back in time to see it all sink it was great we got this moment to see no one else took it 😒
@ruigtand-nl That's an unfortunate set of events.
I've had this happen to me on a galleon once, we were lucky that said tentacle was probably already low on health, we started mashing it with our swords and blunderbusses and managed to have it release before it did much damage to us.
Maybe firebombs work well on it? I mean if you get some fire going on the deck it might do some consistant damage to it. It's something worth testing ^_^
@pithyrumble they block the galleons entrance too, not as much for the sloop because a solo slooper wouldnt have a great counter for it
It blocks galleons and sloops also. Its just easier to avoid because it unwraps in 2 to 3 hits on the sloop and chances everyone on the galleon is below deck is rare
Its really easy to deal with on a solo sloop actually. Different ways to get on the ladder from the back, either by swimming around to the ladder or grabbing it through the window.
The kraken does not block the staircase on a sloop, or at least not effectively. It may block sections of the deck from it, however.
For larger ships, the staircase wrap is fine. With the whole crew below deck on a brigantine or galleon, you all have the ability to repair every hole the moment it appears and take 3-4 full buckets from the hull - enough to fill an entire deck, nearly. In that situation, you should end up with next to no water and no holes by the time it unwraps itself. This is why my guides recommend two players stay above deck on cannons or sails (depending on intention), and to alternate reloads, even if that means going below with half of an inventory's worth of cannonballs still on you.
Thats what went wrong i guess.. got some bad luck with megan also taking a bite then calling for some help to bail and then the kraken wraps us 🙄
Cant bail need to swim below.. the second deck starts flooding taking more hits.. it was over prety quik with to much holes on second floor
We messed up got trapped and unlucky 🤕
@monkeyshishan on a sloop it is rare the kraken even slaps or sucks me since it is so ridiculously easy it is to kill it on a sloop.... two tentacles thats it, it is faster to kill it then any tactic to try and get away with it...
