me and my friend played a Sloop-Arena Game, and it seems that there have been four ships working together. One ship just took care about digging, while the other three were just Focusing on spawn killing us. I recorded this and one clearly sees that different Crews are on our ship just waiting for us to respawn to kill us instantly.
I want to report this. How can I?
haha, same thing happend with us but on a galleon last time i played arena....3 ships went for us while the other ship just got chest uncontested.
They all anchored around our ship, shot at the top deck just spawnkilling us over and over again. - In a case like that, just leave and start another.

Yes .. we actually did this (leaving the game). However, as I was recording it, I now have the proof and the names of the Players, that for me were clearing playing against the rules… also in other games like fortnite etc. it is strictly forbidden to Group up. I hope that rare at least warns the Player to dont repeat this behaviour

There was nothing done wrong by grouping up on the server. Unless you were verbally assaulted there is nothing to report. They had thier own server to play in and they didn't want to share. This happens in adventure mode as well and all you can do is move along or fight back.... your choice.
@gskill150 just because they attacked you doesn't mean they are teaming, I have been ignoring ships just digging chests and going after people to spawn kill to finish weapon commidations had plenty of people say we're teaming.
@gskill150 also in a Dev update Joe said that you can team up to take out a other ship I guess it's why they added the colors to names in the tavern.
@surveyorpete In a competitive game mode it's unsportsmanlike conduct to team up and boost wins.
Be a good sport. Sea of Thieves is a pirate game, and stealth, stealing and battles are all part of the fun. All pirates on the seas accept that, but be a good sportsman in both victory and loss.
@mr-dragon-raaar Saying that "it's a pirate game" is all well and good, but where does a person begin to draw the line and start taking responsibility for their own actions?
Although, that's the point isn't it.
Putting aside whether this behaviour is fair, or sportsmanlike, against any rules, or a very pirate thing to do: I am quite amazed they managed it at all. The Arena lobbies are shuffled after every game to try to mix up the crews you are playing against. For a pair of allied teams to manage to get into the same lobby and the same game is remarkable to me. Even if you managed it once, the next game you would be likely split up - like that pair of distruptive kids in school. :-)
For four allied crews to arrange to get into the same game is almost unbelievable. You were just unlucky. Go to Smuggler's Bay. Find the bridge. And get over it.
Teaming is not allowed in Arena. It's already been discussed in one of the dev updates when they talked about reworking server merges after the matches.
If they are clearly working together and not fighting each other then you can report then. Like on your boat not attacking each other and only targeting you, or a ship doesnt fire on the winning boat but attacks you to keep you from stopping the winning boat. It's hard to prove but teaming is not allowed

@monkeyshishan I don't ever trust a Dev update myself due to the problems, bugs, exploits that has been here since release and more keep coming out that compounds and plagues this game to this very day. As for teaming up in Arena is a mute point and is done all the time. The only thing that matters is the code of conduct and if it isn't been broke than it's isn't reportable in my eyes. If I was the OP I would've quit and moved on to another server. Different strokes for different folks.
I'm not talking about the mechanics, sorry for being unclear, Joe Neate said outright that teaming in Arena is not allowed. Like you said trying to report it moot, only because it's so hard to prove. But teaming is not allowed and if you can prove it, should report.
@gskill150 I've seen this a few times and it usually means a group of people want to just PvP.
When it happens you'll often get people using the "No Escape!" text preset.
I used to hate it happening but there have been times where I've benefited when I was a solo player by digging up chests while they all PvP'ed.
If you think you're going to be in a teamed PvP battle and don't want to join in, it's just easier to leave than to push against the Ocean.
When you have all the looting commendations the only thing the Arena is good for is PvP so don't be surprised when that's all people want to do.
If you've already won 100 times or (160 for Pirate Legend), dug up 200 chests, completed 200 matches, finished in the top three 100 times and earned 1,000,000 Silver the only thing left to complete is the number of player kills.
It feels rough but there are two parts to the Arena mode that was set by the Devs as targets, people want to achieve those regardless of how they get there.
Hes not talking about the crew vs crew type teaming of PvP.
He literally means that 2 crews are teaming up and ganging up on other teams. Its not an agreed PvP thing. Its 2 ships run up to attack a single ship. Red and Blue attack Green. They spawn camp green. Red and Blue NEVER attack each other while spawn camping greens boat. That is teaming and is not allowed.
2 ships spawn camp a single ship, or 2 ships work together so that 1 ship gets the win while another ship harasses the other ships in second and third place. Red helps Blue get first place by attacking Green that has chests. Again teaming, which is not allowed.
I don't think Rare cares about 2 or 3 ships going off into a corner and having their own private battle. I think they care about ships forming some kind of alliance so that they can benefit in either wins or gang up on other ships.

@monkeyshishan what video did Joe say that? I've watched them all and dont ever remember them forbidding teamwork in the arena.

Arena is not a pvp mode, it is a condensed mode for sea lf thievea.

Do we have this in a written legal code of conduct available for everyone to see, read and understand without a shadow of a doubt? If we only have a Dev stream that only 1% of the gaming population has seen then it's not viable for discussion. If there is one then I have yet to find it atm.
If it's not against the rules it should be.
This ruins the competition for everyone on that server except for the two teams that are working together. It's selfish and it cheapens the achievement for people who earn their Arena stuff legitimately.
I mean it's basic common sense that undermining a spirit of fair competition is detrimental to a competitive mode. Does this really need explaining?
It'd be like fighting in UFC except one fighter is allowed tag someone in and the other one isn't. Maybe it's fun for the tag team, but it's not a real competition anymore, it's just watching some poor fella try to survive a beating.
