    i was a big fan of your game since launch, i was manage a community with more than 100 players how enjoy playing a lot.. now the community its no more than 3 people, why?...

    We want an inmersive world to play, what we got?.. now a lobby base game with 0 inmersion.
    We want a game how can be playing for years, what we got?.. a game how only make us play to get skins, no incentive to play, no progression.
    We want a game where you can form aliances and guild, what we got a game how need a discord community that only have slot for 4 players, what we do with the other players in our community...?

    i feel very sad to think that this can be the bigest share world ever and the first pirate mmo like world, and now we got only a copy of fornite, with seson gameplay, no real progression and boring and repetitive gameplay.. so sad rare... i was in love of you project, now i only feel angry and sadness for what sea of thieves is.. just another console game....

    We participate in your forums, screaming you in your face, we the harcore and core community, what do you do?, give atention to the casuals and stremers that broke the game (streamers don't want a game to play, they want a product how help they to make money), you never liste to us... you only have time to read comment about the crossplay... whe tell you live on MX thats arena was a mistake and give you the idea of make it the arena a place in the world that we have, like a stadium, to make sea of thieves a inmersive e-sport, and what do you do?... nothing... you continue with your plan and you lose your core community... ok you are better in twich now , there are a lot of new people playing your game, not but theres only people how is here for a little time, then they will go... only are casual and noobs, like we was in past, and the will run out when they end see like we see first.. this game is not a good place for a long term players.. only for family and kids... why??????... we was at your side... rise our hand to help you to make the game better... and you won't listen.. and still in silence...

    PD: the last try to help you, we write you letters and post in forums to make it posible to play the game with more than 4 people at time, we work to make the first arena tournament here in south america and you never respond... you just ignore us...

    you said it yourself in your hard to read post, you want this game to be an MMO "like" game. Sorry to break it to ya, it's not an MMO, thank god. Have a great day

    Can I be honest?

    It sounds like maybe you are expecting this game to be something that it is not.

    They've deliberated seeked to avoid the "MMO feeling" for this game, by carefullying choosing the amount of ships you can encounter.

    They wanted it to be infrequent enough to where it feels special when you see another player... Whereas seeing another player in a true MMO is just numbing.

    Rare are a part of Microsoft and it's now only one year until the next generation of consoles will be launching. You have to expect all of those teams that were acquired are now all busy working away on brand new games. I expect Rare to be no different. Sure, this game will continue to plough on for a while, but it can't be everything they are working on.
    Sea of thieves best days have been and gone, new games come out and players migrate to them. Just look at the wealth of the gamepass library now compared to one year ago.. So much choice for players.
    Enjoy what has been and what is, as many of us have. Nothing lasts forever. This will soon be last gen.

    @needsmokes good point my friend... that was my point... his plan was give us 10 years of gameplay... with this gameplay... you can't play the game for more than a year... theres people how love play normal video game... there are others like we, that we want a game to live on... and its sad that sea of thieves never will be... when the next gen of console come... this game will be lost in our memorys so sad... was good, very good in his core... good game can live for ever... look runescape, wow, ffxiv, tibia...

    @needsmokes and sorry for not be ar your side but ... gamepass.? theres only trash game there... play, end the game and unistall, for someone that can be nice... but for us... isn't, i have disposable games...

    Now Rare are engaging in a monetary system with this game, I'm certain as long as income keeps coming in, the game will carry on.
    And that will be aimed at a constant flow of new players playing.
    Will there be content for a player to play for 10 years solid. I can't see that being the case. I myself maxed out many of my levels and commendations during year 1, not because I was grinding, but moreso that I was addicted and played too much. And I rarely find myself sailing the seas much anymore.
    Sure, I keep up to date with all that is happening and always sample the latest content, but afterwards I once again move onto another game.
    I have so many games installed from Gamepass and Gold that i need to get around to. I'm sure many players in your community are in the same position.

    @mhulhavhaka when cursed sails launch, we love it... we designate people to track the hour when the ships spawn, we feel greate having the oportunity to get a commeditation how only a few can have, what happen, the casual community spoke, the family fathers rise his voices, "we cant play the game all day, cry cry (why i maried if i love play video games, cry cry", we have family, kids and work" ( i have it to) whats rare did, all our hard work, lost, and now anyone can have those commeditation... no need to work hard again... so sad... they listen to the part of the community how play only 2 or 3 hours a day... and what happen with us... how play 8 ... 12 hours, i work to, but i make the work of make new friend to rich our goal, we work all week and in weekends we organice our lifes, that wasn't the idea of the game?

    Just a few I have played in the last few months:

    Metro Exodus
    Kingdom Come
    Slay the Spire
    Shadow warrior 2
    All of those were very enjoyable.

    Now I'm playing The Outer Worlds, installed on the to do list are:
    Black desert
    Blair Witch
    Crackdown 3
    Dishonored 2
    Friday 13th
    Gears 5
    Jump Force
    Monster Hunter World
    Sherlock Holmes
    And more indie games I love to sample..

    I just can't find the time for it all!!

    Gamepass is overwhelming me with great games.. I just don't ever feel the need to buy any anymore.. Unless it is something I really want..

    @needsmokes there only disponsable game, with only one use... the world its working on make product how can have a long term lives... and they still on the same old way... lets make this game ... how have onlye 8 or 30 hours of gameplay, charge 60/80/100 dollars for they, and when they done, we can make another one to charge it 60/80/100 dollars again... no thanks.. give me a base and expanded... software as a service... not a product, with date of dead in his box.

    Welcome to Xbox.
    Plug in and play disposable games.
    There are rarely any titles that have a very long life.
    You play them as much as you like, and then move on.
    All Dev teams now have Scarlett Dev kits. You can be certain they are all busy working on new games..

    I just hope Rare are working on Fable 🤞🤞 (somebody is)

    @needsmokes nice to find rasonable mates, how understand the meaning of what we try to say... and understand that not all world speak english as is primary lenguage [Mod edited], i really apreciate you my friend... maybe they one they will be understand that type of mind is obsolete, the future is online with persistence and as a service... not a disponsable, plastic product

    @mhulhavhaka this game was so powefull one time that make us meet us in person, we travel throw our country to meet us in person... that is why we are so sad now... nothing of what make us happy is in the game now.. just a collection of skins with no end

    I have made some good Xbox friends during my time on the seas.
    And often we will all notice eachother playing another game and meet up and play together on that.

    I understand what you want this game to become. But it just isn't the reality of how console games work.

    Very few MMOs work well on console, and are usually found on PC.

    Consoles forever evolve, and we are in for a giant leap next year.
    Many of us have 360s on the shelf with 100s of games just sat there, just for decoration. My Xbox one X will be going on that shelf too.
    Can't wait for what's to come...

    Perhaps mail one of your friends you have met and play another game with them.

    @needsmokes maybe that was the problem this was never a place for pc players... so sad, they sell us to, where was our place ? ( we was a crossplay community, 7 of 10 was a console player, and they leave like us)

    @needsmokes the only they need was make the game hard, and its was, i rich pirate legend selling chickens) they make this game so easy that make it boring,) im still have 735 doubloon, the only i can buy with them are lvls or repetive quest to get more doubloon or skins, oh i got all the commeditations, skins and all that stuff from the moment to leave the game)

    If you have PC gamepass there are many many crossplay games there, and more are constantly being added.
    I've been on Xbox since it's birth and enjoyed many a great game over the years. Sea of Thieves has been one of my favourites so far.
    But I will move on and forget about this one day.
    It's great to sample new games.
    I also game on my PC when time allows me, and only RPG/strategy games as Xbox doesn't do those.

    @needsmokes i play it until they lose all my progress, was a good game until that happen.. i was playing with a SOT friend, my friend go out of my session, i go to bed and when i come back the next day all the progress that we made was lost, my new shelter, all the mats,, all, like we never play that last session.. the game as autesave i never understand what happen so i quit

    I've yet to try it, I'm not allowed to play Zombie games anymore, as the Mrs goes nuts listening to the moans and groans of the walking dead drifting up from downstairs late at night😂

    Seems you had plenty of incentive to play, you're Athena 10. :P

    Rare has said that this game is a service, meaning they will be adding stuff to it over time, we will eventually get what you want, just give them the time to design it first. ;)

    Objectives that keep players busy for years, isn't something you can cook up in a month or two, it needs a lot of planning, testing, designing, etc etc.

    It's not an MMO, dude... But, lucky for you, i actually know a pirate MMO that is very similar to Sea of Thieves, it's called Atlas.

    Apparently they have 40 000 players per server, hence the MMO, i haven't actually done research beyond that, but here you go:

    @mhulhavhaka ... I gave you a pirate MMO similar to Sea of Thieves that was available for play RIGHT NOW... I didn't say it was a good game. :P

    But if it's an MMO you want, your only option is Atlas, i'm afraid, simple as that.
