I posted a comment on a Reddit thread about the new pets and was advised to submit the idea on the forums.
So I will just paste the comment on here.
"I'm a little disappointed at the things we can or rather can't do with them.
We can pet them, place them around the ship and shoot them from the cannon.
That's about it.
I really think there should be a special emote wheel when you're holding them, that way you could interact with them in many different ways.
Similar to how quick chat changes depending on what you're holding."
