Griefing or not griefing - it’s only a matter of perspective. The fact that something is permitted doesn’t necessarily change what it is. Anyway, I can’t help wonder if this is really the type and quality of PvP that the team at Rare we’re hoping for. I would like to think not but maybe this is exactly what they had in mind.
Shores of Gold needs to be privite while in Shroud
@dadiodude mate griefing has one definition in this game, don’t mess with your own crew and watch what you say (racial slurs, ridicule of other pirates and whatnot) everything outside that is fair game. Perspective here is you got some gold and commendations but didn’t bank the 10,000. It’s such a small loss in the grand scheme of playing this game
Altho we can all agree we find it a silly way to play. I read a lot of the fun part got ruined.
I do not agree with this camping tactic. Heck i dont think waiting 1.5 hours is fun. BUT on the other side this enemy crew who lay and wait had fun.
So if we gonna take fun in the mix.
They ruined your fun and we need go stop it by ruining their fun?Anyone else seas that problem?
Its gonna be a back and forth on who is allowed the fun. Its a 2 sided medallion.@pharaoh-rising Well I just did the shores of gold, TT9, last night.
But again, it's not the first thing I did, I first did some voyage an team up with 2 other sloops over in the Devil roar, an then headed to shores of gold, after helping them. Then I just did the TT9 solo in like 30 min when I landed at the shores.
after that I sold, I took a 15-20min smoke break at galleon grave outpost, nobody came an sank me an was not log out when I came back, so just carry on.
ended up doing a skull fort with the one of the sloops in the alliance, the other had left.
he led me have all the loot, although I told him that I was only there for the gems. You can’t do voyages when doing a Tall Tale my friend. The tall tale is on the voyage table I believe
It’s not okay at all what those pirates did.
You’re honestly thinking it’s okay for people to camp about for over an hour just to take something and mock the other players for it and rub it in their faces? They’ve done it to MANY people too, so they take enjoyment at the expense of others. THAT is when “”””fun”””” isn’t okay.

Yes, you can do both regular voyages as well as Tall Tales simultaneously.
??? Okay I guess I’m wrong 0-0
But I’ve seen the tall tale on the voyage table I didn’t think you could do those at the same time
@agent-samuraii
Next time you look at the table, look at the position of the Tale on the table. Regular voyages are placed in the center, Tale Tales are not, due to having room for two voyages.Edit: Most people don't, mainly cause they just want to focus on the Tall Tale rather than multi-task.
I dont think its oke to mock and be toxic. I mentioned this above. That is behavour which i dont approve off.
But when we talk gameplay wise.
If u Like camping as a tactic to obtain loot. Than it should be allowed. Its a possibility in play.
So the camping is part of the game.
Toxic behavour is not.I, myself have allowed many a opportunistic pirates reap the spoils of my hard earned loots. Recently, I’ve been grinding Tall Tales solo. Three incidents punctuated by Shroud Quest campers sent me beyond infuriation. With that being said, I wouldn’t change a thing. It is the “Sea of Thieves”, not “Let Me Generously Coddle You and Allow Complacency to Be Rewarded”. I spewed profanities when I could hear the enemy asking each other what to do with the red stones they stole... Then they returned them, killed me several times, set my boat adrift, which they ignited with firebombs. In the next incident, a pirate had seen the glow of gems in my quarters at an Outpost. After, what I complacently presumed to be an escape, the enemy suddenly appeared off my starboard quarter. The surprise attack was splendidly complimented with their conversation on approach.
Pirate 1- “They have gems!”
Pirate 2- “You mean, they HAD gems. We have gems, hahahahaha!”
C’mon, can’t get more pirate than that. At my loss of loot, but gains of worldly pirate experience, I would never want to nerf the world in such a way... too bad society can’t say that.
At N13, it was classic. I emerged from the underwater cave with a stone... only to see a scavenger rowing away with all my loot, supplies, two megladon kills worth of meat, and my soul. I was crushed, how stupid of me not to stop and sell, but I had a plan.
Again, I would rather be beaten and robbed, as opposed to living in a world where there is no freedom and decisions are dictated by an unseen, governing force.@dadiodude said in Shores of Gold needs to be privite while in Shroud:

It is hurting people because you enjoy hurting people.
The fact it’s a game, the fact it’s allowed... it makes no difference. Those excuses are the lowest form of moral reasoning (pre-conventional) and surpassed by children before adolescence.
Rare should stop it. We shouldn’t be able to pick up other people’s tall tale items.
