Hunter's Call Order/New rewards

  • Hello! I'm not sure if this has been suggested before or not but I figured I'd make a post because I love the Hunter's call and I feel this would be a really great addition to the faction. I love that there is a ship locked behind leveling you HC rep. but what will you do once you hit 50? After obtaining level 50, proving your worth to the HC, you could then go to a seapost and obtain an order for a certain amount of fish from the HC NPC. This mission would not be time limited due to the random order in which fish you catch. It would not need to be placed down on the mission table taking a spot for a regular mission to be done during the hunt, it would simply act as a merchant mission you'd obtain from a barrel. You could hold one at a time and to cancel it you'd simple go to any seapost NCP and decline mission.

Here is an example of how you'd go about getting and completing an order for Merrick:

~You travel to the seapost and talk Merrick and he gives you a mission/order. The parchment would appear in your mission radial and show that 15 Olive Plentifins, 10 Watery Plentifins, 5 Charcoal Pondies, and 3 Ocean Wildsplashs are needed to be caught and delivered. (Merrick just decided one day he really likes Plentifins.)

~You would then go out into the world and catch the necessary fish to complete the order.

~Next you return to the NPC who gave you the mission (the name clearly printed on the order) and sell your fish as you normally would. The order could be sold in full or in parts as the counts are adjusted on the parchment.

Since at level 50 you've already received the ship, the next reward could be an outfit to match. A full outfit including a hat, jacket, gloves, peg-leg, eye patch, belt, boots, jacket, shirt and pants could be obtained by completing orders. Each item would be locked behind a certain number of orders needed to be completed. This would give players even more incentive to continue catching cute little fishy faces even after hitting 50. Making sure you can find enough bait to catch the fish needed won't be an issue. With the addition of being able to dig up your bait you can plan ahead and find however many worms, leeches or grubs you need, give or take a few extra for those pesky Splashtales to steal.

This could also be applied in the future if new fish are discovered/added in the world. Orders completed for the new fish could have items locked behind them as well.

Anyways, this was just a thought I wanted to share with the Devs and community. Thanks for reading!
