@thaundeadone only difference between is is playtime, bro Is feel disgusting attacking some noob or outnumber crew it’s not me! I would feel ashamed to say I’m a the world heavyweight boxer but I only boxed lightweight opponents. PVP in this world is shameful if it was balanced it is another part of the game but for most part it’s just poor design and a bunch of “first to do/ I am the best” people taking advantage

Stop trying to separate people. Unless they are brand new to shooting guns or slashing swords, they have had some experience in either or both. That's the point the RARE Devs have made time and time again since it first launched. The only difference between me and a new player is time played in the game. They could easily shoot me in the head or blunder me in the back, sides, or front. When my crewmate first started he brought a friend and we ran a brig. They had just started and they wanted to PvP and we sunk ship after ship. Don't get me wrong we were sunk sometimes but these guys who were brand new to the game were tearing it up when fighting other players and they still do! The difference between them and me was the time that I played before they started. They didn't start until late November. I am a Closed Alpha player. That gave me 9 months of experience ahead of them and they were just as good as me.

Uses example of competent gamers to brand every single person who owns a pc or Xbox! Yes that means the guy I met today when I parked next to him and waited for him to come back to see I hadn’t attacked or don’t anything wrong (stole or searched his ship) and didn’t even know he had another option instead of pistol and sword is just as good LOOOOL
I can use examples and brand it as the entire GAMER POPULATION but that would never be true! But stating that most of SOT players are PL exposing the slow trickle or new players who try then leave isn’t false.

Why would I post fake facts if I couldn't verify it? The game is rated T for Teen. Meeting that it is a high possibility that most of the new gamers and some sort of experience with fighting games whether it was with guns or swords. So you are telling me you strolled up on a dude while he was away from your boat and attacked you? If that's the case and you are gonna use that example...I would've done the same thing. If I see a ship roll up and not greet me I will defend myself, my crewmate, my ship, and my loot. Much like if a guy broke in your house you would defend yourself. And where did I brand the entire gamer population? You are just picking words out of the air again to try to dispute my claim. Never said anything of being Pirate Legend, and I truly do not know where you pulled that from. Again your claim is invalid: Not all Pirate Legends attack sight for no reason, but because they are a good scapegoat they are easy to blame. I am a PC PvEvP player. That means I do both and unless I am in an absolute mode to sink some ships I don't. Again if they attack me or my ship or pose any danger I will fight to the death to defend. If they are at a Fort I want to do I will Fight them for the loot. And where is your evidence that new players are leaving? If anything The new players are the ones attacking the others. I believe I saw an article that the sea of thieves was at around 6-8 Million concurrent players a month. This game is far from losing any players, in fact, they are gaining them.

Hahaha okay first off 8.4 million player have played the game overall with 2mollion played it in the month after anniversary update so yeah 1/4 of the gamers are left.
My example I gave you in the previous comment was actually me telling you how neither of us attacked eachother but if I wanted to sink the useless player I could have but because he was new and plays xbox he is as good as the players you used in an example and you sure as hell made it seem like You was saying most people arnt noobs or useless so I was proving it wrong most are useless, try open matchmaking inarena.
Never said u was a PL, just said most PL who have no content left are mostly players who have a attack people cus we all pirates attitude and that’s why PLs are normally the scapegoat cus well they are the ones attacking for no reason other then pirates.
And some evidence is being on the forum for the last 6-8 weeks I have seen countless posts saying “I’m leaving thanks to this and that”

I believe it was an early insider video but dont quote me on that part. I have followed the game since its announcement before release. And i wondered which one they built it for too. I am only PL4 and Grinding out Athenas isn't fun. would rather steal @BloodyBil or @NWO-Azcrack loot before grinding out more, but I do to help my crew out to get to PL themselves. Sure some have left but put that with the ones who got bored, who don't have the game pass anymore or just simply don't want to play. With all that the problem of PvP, PvE, PC or Xbox is about the size of an ant. If the game is more fun and goes on sale a bit more their player base will continue to grow!

All of the players reasons to leave are all very true and you could be right but 3/4 of players not playing anymore cus they haven’t got the game pass or have got to PL already?! I don’t think so I’ve been playing game for months and am not PL! Let alone A10
Adding content will always get more players and so will a sale but will it keep those players or will they just have a go and then leave?! Is more content enough to keep PLA10s on the game that’s real question!
Is it’s current state really pushing loads away I know I have come to ends with my love for sea of thieves and starting to have a love/hate relationship with it so might push me off and yeah I’m only one deckhead off the server but how many more before the game dies ( a fair few when 2 million active) but trends happen and if a trend of PVE leave then we didn’t even need a PVE server for the seas to get more hostile!
@itskingbertie Depends on how you grind when they tweaked the forts I heard players were getting to PL in a week That's not PL10 but it sure is close. I wasn't PL until December 2018 but I took multiple breaks the entire time due to the lack of content and it being boring. People, that you know? Do you play with them? If so I am gonna go out on a limb and guess you are all PvEers? I have got to run for the night but it was great trading ideas with you! I hope you, @BloodyBil and @NWO-Azcrack have a great night!

It’s annoying they have a ping counter and FPS counters!
But I thought this was an Xbox exclusive! And I was wrong! It was a windows10 exclusive! Meaning from the start designed for both! And optimised on PC! so I guess having a few (small I know but ) xtra things just makes it bit more PC FRIENDLY :/

And I normally solo sloop, was talking to someone else and mentioned how I don’t normally like to carry dead wood around. But do duo sloop sometimes and yes we pve only, unless at a fort and a boat attacks us not taking alliance (always have alliance flag up if you want to be friendly to us we are always friendly back) we keg them! But other then that Pve and tryna be nice is our playstyle :) met a 40 yr old women gamer the other day I was like “wow” didn’t knew they existed but wouldn’t of met her If id just saw the opportunity and attacked!

Yep, features were supposed to be developed side by side, so that both platforms were equal. Thats what No Asterisk Crossplay actually means, despite pc players suggesting that No Asterisk Crossplay somehow means Forced Crossplay. The No Compromise Crossplay that gets used to support Forced Crossplay is also taken out of context by some PC players. Rare were actually talking about PC and Xbox work being done in-house, instead of giving a 3rd party the task of making a 'port'. They actually meant No Compromise on quality, nothing to do with forced crossplay.
PC had Kbm access 12 months before Xbox
PC had text chat 12 months before Xbox
PC has adjustable graphics setting, Xbox does not
PC has unlocked FPS, Xbox does not
PC has ping and FPS counters, Xbox does not...So much for the side by side Parity Approach and No Asterisk
Maybe Rare should sit down and watch that video...after they finish working on the opt-out, of course.
@thaundeadone game is still just as fun for me and I've been PL10 for awhile. Grinding out the tall tales solo is way more fun than Athenas. I never know what to expect and, unlike athenas, there is no guarantee I will finish my voyage.
@marsmayflower don’t get me wrong I have fun too. But I have had friends both PL and none PL because it got boring after doing a few hundred voyages, total number not necessary in the same category. Me and the guy I play with make our own fun while we are questing usually dares or forcing ourselves to use certain weapons or not using certain equipment lol.

It is forced crossplay. You cant change the settings, its forced. The No Asterisk and No Compromise has been used by PC players literally 100s of times, as proof that the game was 'advertised' as forced crossplay. The video has been linked to dozens of times as 'proof'. You are a founder though, im sure you are aware of this...
All I am pointing out is what the video was actually saying, then i created a list off the top of my head, showing how the video is not accurate. Features were supposed to be developed side by side for both platforms. Is my understanding of the video wrong? Is my list of features wrong?
