Skeleton difficulty scaling and AIMBOT - Illogical

  • The scaling of the skeletons seems very disproportionate to player health and damage capabilities. Sniper Skeletons are now taking out one half to three-quarters of my health per shot, and when 2 spawn at the same time along with a Pistol Skeleton or Blunderbuss Skeleton, then it's off to the Ferry of the Damned. At times I am spending more time respawning than actually playing the game.

    Either players should be able to improve their characters with progression, ie Health and damage, or the Skeletons need to be scaled back. At the point I am in the game, the skeletons are way too overpowered and their AIMBOT is totally absurd. The skeletons AIMBOT should be more susceptive to RNG than is currently the case.

    I would like to have some character and weapons development in the game. The skeletons get scaled up with player game progression, but players remain the same as day 1.....illogical.

  • Player leveling as you describe it should never be a thing in SoT.

    As for the skeletons, I think that they're actually in a relatively good spot, balance-wise. With the skill and knowledge of proper combat, skeletons can easily be dispatched, especially with teamwork.

    If anything, the only reason I die is due to the sword changes and horrendous hit detection - every time I do an advanced charge only to not have it come out until it's too late and I get cut apart as a result? Fix that, and I think we'll be just fine.

  • This is a limitation of the game and is responsible for a good deal of the grind.

    I play solo quite a lot. My character will usually die with 2 shots. Waves, either at forts or during soul voyages can include 7 or more shooters that have 100% aim over unrealistic distance. Movement including jumping offers zero defence. There is positively no way to avoid death. It happens. It happens a lot. It’s boring. Combat in the game is primitive, unrealistic and isn’t scaled to crew size. Of all things, this is the one area that I’d love to see improved for crews of all sizes.

  • I mostly just have trouble understanding why the skeltons get to interrupt my 3 sword swipe combo every other sword slaying fight I have with them. Even tho I win the fight most of the time I can't help but he annoyed when I go to take full advantage of a skelly with a sword and I start bombarding it with my sword and it can just cut in at any point during my combo. That's some bs, and it's been like that for a while and I really want it fixed, haven't said anything about it till now but it's been bothering me as of late.
