I think this is a great idea. People have asked for the mysterious strangers glowing eyes. If anything have 2 different curses.

The first curse can be the standard glowing eyes and the second curse could be the Halloween themed curse.

I would make the standard glowing eyes available anytime, even after the Halloween season

@corruptinator I've always hoped they would add a ghost form to the game....your idea to make it change between night and day is fantastic.

This is a FANTASTIC idea.

Maybe the curse could be a Legend thing(Considering that the Festival is Kind of over) and the higher your Athena level, the more ghostly you look, until your a full-blown Ghoul Lord like Ramsey himself!

@minor-architect Maybe Ghostly fire particles? The higher the Athena Reputation the more particles appear?

@blazedrake100 Why spend doubloons when you can take on the Festival of the Damned Themed Tall Tale Quest, 5 times as a challenge to get the reward. Unlike the other 9 original Tall Tale missions, the Festival Quest is fun and that its worth replaying over and over again.

Now that I think about it, I kinda had the thought of what the Festival of the Damned themed Tall Tale would be about?

Then the name occurred: Trials of Athena

The quest would be about the origins of Athena's fortune, the oddessy of understanding the purpose of life and death, and possibly a deep lore origins of the meaning behind the name, Athena.

These should be Pirate Legend curses, but I agree we need these!

@chronodusk Actually, to access the Tall Tale Quest that has the cosmetic reward, the book/journal should be placed in the Athena's Fortune Secret Lair, next to the Pirate Lord. Pirate Legends needs to go down to the lair to find the journal and activate the voyage. For anybody who wants the cosmetic, it would create a social event where regular pirates and Pirate Legends works together to unlock the cosmetic, and every time the quest is complete it also increases the Athena's Fortune Reputation. Not to mention unlocking the Athena's Blessing Curse.

I'm sure if they add Legend Tall Tales, then they will be playable by playing with a Legend. Only thing is, they should make the curses only unlockable for legends, unlike the mistake they made with the ghost clothing!

@chronodusk So true, but then yet again I happen to recall @Minor-Architect's idea of implementing the Athena's reputation to level up the curse, If you're a regular Pirate, you don't turn into a ghost at night. You have to reach all 50/50/50 and become Pirate Legend to unlock the hidden feature. Make it rewarding to fully unlock the potential. Otherwise you're stuck with just glowing eyes.

I support this. Not everyone will be a pirate legend at the time of this event. If you want to make it available to non legend by joining a pirate legend I support that too. I definitely agree that the day to night effect should only be available to pirate legends.

The mysterious stranger eyes curse should be available at all times. Essentially it would allow your eyes to glow without the day to night effect. This way, legend can switch between curses and not turn into a candle at night. On that note, it would be nice if the glowing effect would light up the area similar to holding the lantern. (The effect won’t keep shadow skeletons solid at night. You would still need the lantern)

Love this idea and the further development by @Chronodusk and @Corruptinator and a few others sounds like a great event! Great way of showing love to Legends without excluding others.

Personally this seems like a great and original idea, IMO. The fact that it relies on the moonlight for the full effect is just icing on the cake.

New idea, Several ways to activate the Day-to-Night effect:

-Using the floating torch above the Well of Fates to absorb the flames to become ghostly.
-or using any color-modified ship torches/lanterns to absorb the flames to become ghostly at night.

You can also disperse the absorbed flames to deactivate the ghostly form so then you can only have glowing eyes at night.

Who says you can't use fire to light up your soul?

P.S. Be sure to put the your lantern away so then it uses the change Color button "X" or something to activate-deactivate your ghostly form.
