All of these things sound more like lag then cheats. Hit markers are client side, meaning you can have a hit marker, but not actually hit the enemy. Likewise lag would make shots on ships look like they hit, but don't; and same goes for players seeming to shoot you without line of sight, they could be looking at you on their screen.

I do agree that the servers need a lot of fixing because of these issues, but they are more likely just lag/ping issues than cheaters.

It's impossible to make a game session peacefully, cause 2 games on 3 are full of Cheater. AimBot, guys ignore the delay in the Ferry of the Damned and a lot of other thing who ruined the game. And it's not a problem of lag. I know to make the difference.

I already see some cheater in the past but not in all my session. Probably the offer on the xBox Game Pass is responsible of this. When you can play for 1€, you don't care to loose your account.

I hear what you say, but i havn't talk about lag's or ping. The game is realy smooth and i have no ping, evrything is as usual.

With a little search you can find that cheat on google realy easy...

I'm on the insider program since 9w, I realy want to make it more fun and awsome than ever. So, pleaz, do somthing to block that [Mod edited]

They already have things to detect if someone is cheating or not, BUT, they need to have player reports, otherwise, they can't do much. So, if you encounter a cheater, then you should report it in Xbox AND in a support ticket (if you have proofs it's going to be better).

And now, replying to the OP, what you are saying is lag. I was in a community, and a guy had that problem, and it resulted to be lag, because of poor internet/laggy servers. They need to fix some issues with the servers, BUT, generally, I have stable ping (80/90 ping).

Lag when it comes to hit detection doesn't make the game look any different. What I am talking about is when you shoot someone, get a hit marker, but they take no damage. This is a lag issue weather your game is running smoothly or not, the servers are just not great at handling hit detection.

Also not sure if this is just a language thing, but ping is always there. Anything above 30 and you will start seeing these hit detection issues; and if you have less than 30 ping you probably live directly next to the server and that's pretty impressive.

Ok there is a profanity filter on the forum, and that one is realy afficient.
Can you do te same for your in-game server please ?

For thos who read the post, I don't say anything like that, i hide the word but only write one letter.

For those who think that i m a not clever man "according to the forum rules", open your eyes, there is a lot of cheat avaible and a lot of article who spoke aboute that.
I play, like a lot of you, since a very long time, i m legend and do all event since hungering deep. I can make the difference between lag, ping, and cheat.

You can accepte it or not, it's like that.

I m proud of our community, i meet a lot of good pirat during the last year.
They comme from all around the world and we do amazing aventure together.
I want to continu this aventure as good as it beegan, and it's for this reason that i post this message.

When i say shoot through the ship i speak about shot from the bottom of the boat to the top. To shot and hit like that you need visibility or "wallhack".
You can say to me that you're skilled enough to shot a running pirat through the floor without visibility. It's ok.
The player that we have reported yesterday have 1 friend on Xbox and his account was created 5 days ago. Please don't say that he play on a smurf account, not on Sea of Thieves.

When we send a message to this player saying that we have recorded that, he instantly disconect to the game. If he just killed us proprely, he had no reason to leave...

I have the same experience with one man who defeat all my galleon crew without moving, only shooting with the rifle without realoading.

I'm not here to whining because some pirate stoll my chest, it's the game. I don't care about that. In 1 year i stole a lot of treasur. I was defeated some time, but i never gone to the forum to whine.

For the "Bad netcode" : if you want to speak about my ping, it is good (~33ms).
