Xbox Type In Chat

    Hey fellow pirates, us console players really need the option to be abe to type in chat just like players on pc. At some point of our pirate courier we run into the problem of being limited in terms of speach as the pirate chat wheel sometimes dosent have just the right message to respond to a pc player who may ask us a question via typing. I really hope this is noticed and im sure all console players would appreciate it. I wish you godspeed, may your voyages be rewarded with fortune and glory.

    Console players CAN now type into text chat... just hit the T on your chatpad or keyboard to begin!

    Yes, i have a xbox chat pad attached to my controller and typing is now possible.
    It will however take a little while to get used to holding it, as after many years of having the controller hold, to suddenly have this extra device fitted to it will make it feel totally alien to you. But it works as it should do. They are pretty inexpensive to purchase too.

    Yeah thats my problem. I have to go buy it and its probably going to be expensive but im sure it would help in the long run

    @captainharris80 doesn’t have to be very expensive... I use a $25 Logitech K400 wireless keyboard with mine, works great for just chatting (too small to use to actually play the game, at least for me).

    So you want a ingame keyboard to write things...by that time you will get killed...even takes with the gamepad too long imo
