So in all the videos/trailers/teasers showing off fishing, when the player had a fish hooked the line in the water gets tight BUT the line on the pole stays loose! And this is really bothering me!!

@zaannox i believe he is talking about the part of the line that goes from the tip of the pole to the reel, it hangs slack off the pole and never tightens up as though its just kinda there and not part of the line
@michisuu exactly there should deff not be slack in that line when the line in the water is tight it’s madness
Um...you didn’t notice the bigger problem? Our pirate reels in the line BACKWARDS.
The reel on 99.99% of fishing reels in forward and down. Not back towards you.
The way our pirate is reeling is in reverse, which would let line go out.

I get this is a fantasy world but it’s not a magic fishing pole.
How did the insiders not notice these things, loose line, backwards reeling, or maybe they did and rare just didn’t listen
Please for the love of aqua man (praise be) fix the fishing pole mechanics

You assume it was not noticed by insiders. During development people often put things into a project as a placeholder until they can go back and refine it as time permits. It may still be there, or it may have been fixed. I actually have no idea yet. You can always check for yourself by joining the Insider program and casting a line.
