@trenix90 No player, regardless of rank, can unlock something that will provide them with an unfair advantage over other players. Everyone, upon spawning, has the same tools. Voyages don't affect other people's game.
Really? I find it unfair that someone who's a higher level, gets the advantage of having better voyages which provide more gold and quests than those who are a lower level. Also I like how you use more specific wording in attempt to prove your point. Like why use tool? Upon spawning, not everyone has the same ship and therefore automatically have disadvantages and advantages during a play session. And yes, voyages do effect people's game, someone gave me a free Athena quest which saved me more time while yielding more gold than I would using my own voyages. They do make a massive difference in gameplay.
Visual differences between weapons are just that, visual. One may have an iron sight on it, but they all fire the same, does the same damage and have the same damage drop off. Some players find visual differences more helpful than others, but some don't.
Visual differences do matter, especially in a shooter. It's actually why I use the pistol with a aim sight, because it provides me more precise aim than someone who has to aim with the tip of a barrel. If there were simply texture changes, then it wouldn't matter. However, that's not the case. Take for example, the visual difference of someone being small and big in a shooter, does it matter?
Yes, which is why some players intentionally pick girl characters in some games, because they're smaller, making them harder to notice and sometimes have a smaller hitbox. In fact, having glowing cosmetics in this game is a probably bad idea, because it reveals you easily at night.
There's nothing currently in game comparable to putting a brand new 5 player ship behind a rank wall, much less a rank wall that limits it to only the most experienced players.
Mate, you're just not going to find support for this part of your suggestion.
A bigger ship, requires more experienced players to manage it. Therefore it makes sense. Also the devs said they wanted legendary ships to be noticeable and something to fear. This is how you do it.

You've got to think about the balance of the game as a whole. Right now there really isn't a need for a ship larger than a galleon, let alone any content that requires 5 players on a single ship, its just pure overkill. Of course thats not to say no Man o' Wars/Frigates have ever sailed on the Sea of Thieves, in fact they have and are many shipwrecks of 3 decked ships in various places around the map.
Build alliances, a whole server can team together for crying out loud. That's fair?
