General question about "raising your lantern" on puzzle quests

    I had 2 tonight where I found the spot where they ask you to raise a light or a lantern high to reveal a clue. I used my lantern and raised it at the spot, and no new clue was revealed. I ran all around both areas on 2 different quests. Am I doing something wrong?

    Some are a little difficult need to stand on the right place and look the right direction or use music instead of light -.- if it dont work i google it often there are others with the same problem on the same riddle and they found a sollution.

    @goldbane1 The only advice I can give is that you have to raise your lantern while standing in the right spot. You can't have it raised and move to the spot. If you did then you have to stop holding it up and raise it again. Same with playing music and reading the map. It only works when you start the action after you stand in the correct spot. Hope this helps.

    Be close, facing it, and stand still. If you are moving it won't register.
