It's amazing how much hate I get when I play the game recently. Everyone needs to understand pc is a advantage ONLY in gun vs gun situation where its who ames better to win the gunfight.
Sword is the primary weapon used doesnt matter if your xbox or pc sword requires no real aim except to just be facing the enemy so there is no advantage to having a mouse there. Everyone I meet thinks I have a advantage on cannons due to no max turn rate which is false I can only move it as fast as a controller player can. PC got nerfed a decent amount with the removal of "double gunning". People think you just pic up a MK and are immediately way better, it still takes time to get used to it and to get better game PVP knowledge. It might also have to do that PC players are usually (not always) more of a try hard player and play the game more than most xbox players (not all tho). I get really mad when I jump in the water to shoot someone that jumped off with a barrel where we could easily spot them and then swim straight torward us and as a shoot the barrel that is a easy target they immediately scream PC [mod edit]!!! I can literally climb on a ship without anybody watching the ladder lower the anchor go down and kill someone repairing that hasn't even noticed I'm on the ship get into a sword fight where the other player doesnt even block while my crew is pelting them with cannons and right after they sink the cuss me for being a PC player. And players like that are the majority of the people wanting a server split just because they want something to blame other than themselves. even tho I do understand some players points of view because Mouse IS a advantage over joystick but only in certain situations stop making it out that it is basically auto aim and blaming it for every single time you die from bad strategy and just generally everytime you die in PVP there is console players I play with that get blamed for "being on pc" when they aren't. People just assume anybody that's better is only better because they "must be a PC player". I'm just here to play the game same as you.

You attempted to bypass the profanity filter which is also against the rules. The mods have to moderate based on what they're seeing, not what you say others are doing.
@chronodusk bypass the profanity filter?? I said someone called me a pc [mod edit] not really bypassing the filter when I dont even say anything with profanity just the letter f I'm just here to debate what was in my post
@rbigbirdm I agree with you...I get a lot of hate because I am a pc player. People just have to have an excuse when they die and sadly that is it. I play with 2 friends on xbox and they never have problems taking down pc players..most xbox players are just trash but they don't want to think that. Quick story..one of my friends that play xbox jumped on a gally and was able to kill all 4 members of the ship a few times before they took him down.. basically called him some bad words and said he can only win because he plays on pc..I laughed so hard because..well..he is an xbox player LOL. It is just a sad excuse for people when they die..that is all it is.

I play with my BF while we're sitting on the same couch, me on xbox and him on PC. He respawns way faster than me, even though the internet connection on the xbox is way better. PC players have several advantages.
And I don't 'hate' all PC players. :) I just understand people when they say the crossplay is unfair.
@princes-lettuce my friend respawns on xbox as fast as I do because he got himself an external SSD..there is no advantage that we have that you can't...you just have to be willing to spend the extra cash.I mean heck..they now have keyboard and mouse support..there is no balance problem anymore..now it is up to the xbox players to be willing to spend the extra cash..believe me..most of us pc players have spent a lot to have the pc's that we have lol

Okay I guess that's true. But still, I think most PC players will have this and not a lot of xbox players do. It's just not balanced. And it seems unfair to me that people who have more money get easier wins. At least, that's what most games try to avoid.

Some PC players are trash, some xbox players are trash, some PC players are great, some xbox players are great. And overall PC players have an advantage. There's no way around that. It's not a disaster and it's not a reason to hate PC players, but it's pretty obvious.
@princes-lettuce Well like I said before..most gaming pc's are not cheap..so trust me when I say most pc players have spent a lot of money to be able to play this game from a pc..so for an xbox player to have to throw in an extra few hundred dollars for the balance that they want so badly..it would be worth it. You are right though..it does cost money..but I mean that is life..you spend $500 on something compared to spending $1,500...I mean which item will be better? But you are right..it is sad that is the way the world works but the more expensive items are more than likely going to have before performance and advantage. Now again..this does not mean an xbox player can't go out and spend a few hundred to be just as balanced.
@rbigbirdm My friend on xbox just went and got him a K&M and I am teaching him how to use it LOL. He is going to be an even more nasty xbox player when im done with him! ;)

A little while back i played with some guys and somehow i loaded like 10 sec. Faster to the ferry when we died so they accused me of being pc player but i have old xbox.. i dunno sometimes things load slow and sometimes im faster but i dont know why or how it works
I cant see who plays what device only can see some can type messages so i guess they have keys to type

@princes-lettuce but like I said most pc players are better than most xbox players because most xbox players are more of a casual player which is totally fine

I have played from day 1..and I am pc..and in the time I have played I have ran into 3 cheaters total..you are just lucky my friend! and it does not matter what game it is..people cheat because they want a reaction out of people and this is one of the most perfect games for that..just saying lol
I took the recommendation of a person here and got myself and SSD for my Xbox. Now I was already a really good PvP'r and (going to brag a bit here) overall a good player. They SSD gave me the advantage of faster load times. I had no problems facing off against PC players, now with the SSD I feel as if I may be better then most PC players as I have found myself jumping right back into the action seconds after I have been killed. This has really.improved my stats for things like 2v1 and even taking on whole galleon crews whilst boarding. Highly recommend the SSD for an Xbox player that feels inadequate compared to PC players (only advantage they have is with guns anyways). You'll feel great.

I still don't agree with this. I mean, games don't let you buy stuff with microtransactions that could ruin the balance of the game. The gaming world still agrees that money shouldn't make you better at the game. Not everyone can afford an SSD. It's just not fair.
Honestly, I would still play crossplay if they divided it. I don't hate PC players. But I 100% understand xbox players' frustration.

Its not a ssd issue I've tested this and posted my findings a few days ago i wish i could have done more tests for a bigger sample but if it was a ssd issue my console would have never loaded faster than my pc once

muffinstuffinguSo i just tested this and its latency or server or both so at first i hardwired my pc( UBM performance is ufo ) and put the wifi on my xbox one and my pc loaded faster off the ferry then i hardwired my xbox and put the wifi on my pc and my console loaded faster then i split the wifi between the two and on different servers the results were random to my eyes. Tested 5 times, 2 times they loaded about the same, 2 times pc was faster and console 1 time. I only tested wifi vs hardwire once
Maybe some of you can do more tests and think of some other variables to test and more times to get a bigger sample for more accurate data collection i just don't care enough to test this for hours and hours as would be needed
people act like every PC player has a SSD. the pc players are in the exact same boat. some have SSD's some have HDD's . and in ALL pc games we have that problem. not everyone can afford a new drive (SSD) or one large enough to hold more than their operating system. yet ive never seen in the forums of a pc exclusive game people having a moan that its not fair cause some players have an SSD and they cant afford one for themself. Its the reality of tech at the moment. just like some people cant affford a faster internet plan.
tldr : xbox players dont hate on pc players that load faster than you purely cause you cant afford a SSD, its not a problem exclusive to xbox players.
@muffinstuffingu Your testing doesn't include an ssd on the xbox, so how can you say that it's clearly not an issue? For all you know your pc and xbox performance are just on par with each other. You must also factor in how well your wifi works, the throughput of each device when using it, obstructions for each device, etc. You left out many factors including the main one. Your tests could just mean you need a new PC or your network is poor.

No lol i got a 2080 and a i9 9900k(regret this purchase btw the 8700k is a way better deal) and 32gb of G skill ram and my downloadspeed is over
200mbps (250dl and 15 up when tested) if my console(xboxone s) loaded faster or at the same time even once vs a computer like mine it is obviously not the ssd or any proformance based issue and i did split the wifi so it was the same speed and yes i dont have a ssd for my console so maybe? But highly highly unlikely (and yes SoT was on my ssd for my pc and console was not because i dont have one that is a big nail in the coffin for ssd) i think the random load times are linked to the infinite load screen when you get off the ferry and it's happened on my PC before so again not a performance issueI left out some of my post from the original i did a few days ago here it is:

@muffinstuffingu don't know what you're talking about man, in terms of load times an SSD on the Xbox is like night and day. Don't get me wrong it doesn't improve your skills buy it does improve load times. I also have great internet where I'm at. It was a win/win.

When your Starting your game oh yea it will load faster for sure.Loading off the ferry faster, tests say no it's completely random or i have yet to find a pattern to explain this seemingly random occurrences of outcomes on load times off the ferry probably because of my low sample size and ssd problems wouldn't explain why my top of the line computer would EVER lose out to loading off the ferry to a console without a ssd and a one S at that
