Why are barrels sinking as soon as I try to get them?

    I've recently noticed barrels in the water are sinking all the time. I don't mean every now they sink. I mean after a certain point every time I try to get supplies from barrels in the water they all sink as soon as I touch the water.

    At first I thought it was a mechanic to keep your supplies limited. Eg if you have plenty of everything, the barrels in the water would sink. However this has been happening when I'm low on supplies. So I don't know if it a mechanic based on how long you've been in the ship.

    It is happening way to often to be a coincidence.
    Anyone else noticed this?

    Try something crazy my friend,

    Keep your ship a distance from the Barrels, they start to sink when your ship gets too close to them.

    If you want to get 100 percent of everything from them barrels, take a rowboat out to 'em.

    Just don't let them get past the stern of the ship. Anchor brake if necessary.

    oh yeah, I have that as well, since I almost jump off and let the ship sail away its a nuisance getting only a few things out of them...

    I've had times when the barrels are fine but as soon as I swim up to them, then it sinks. I swim to another one, that sinks, another one, that sinks
