Hole in ship visually but not physically fixed {major bug}

I was gaining water just before while doing a voyage, I had no chest of sorrow on board, I had all my holes fixed. I was looking to make sure I hadn't missed a hole and to my surprise I was still gaining water for NO REASON. So I am getting attacked by a galleon now, all while gaining phantom water, I get hit off my ship by a player, go to the inside of my sloop and look! A hole has mysteriously appeared in my ship. Aha I thought, that must have been the source of the water. But no, I patch up that hole and realize I am still gaining water. I then notice the wood plank is not actually on the hole even though I placed it on there, it is floating in front of it, while I hear water slowly sinking my ship as I get bombarded by people I cannot fight because of a hole that simply won't go away. I didn't care about sinking as I just wanted to dig up my chests for the reaper voyage (it would have been nice to sink the galleon though), but if I was on that guilded athena voyage, well I would be furious.
