Captain's Week

June 15th – June 22nd (10am UTC)

It’s time to take to the seas on a vessel of your own! Captain’s Week is here with a range of boosted rewards, discounted items and exclusive cosmetics to be claimed by bold pirates sailing on a Captained ship.

Permanent Captaincy Rebalancing

Changes are on the horizon for Pirate and Ship Milestones! Since their introduction at the launch of Season Seven, we’ve been evaluating our Captaincy progression systems. Now, coinciding with Captain’s Week, we’re rebalancing Milestones to make it a little easier for pirates to progress and unlock rewards.

The requirements for many Classes will be lowered, as will the Class criteria for buying Trinkets and Beds unlocked by Pirate Milestones. Prices are going down too: the gold requirements for Trinkets and Captain’s cabin decorations will be reduced, while saving cosmetics to your ship will now be free!

Don’t worry if you’re one of the hardworking Captains who’s already achieved Class 50 in any eligible Pirate Milestone: to commend you for your exceptional dedication, you’ll be granted the Gilded Sovereign Captain’s Table so you can demonstrate your commitment to the pirate’s life.

Take Part in the Celebrations!

Ship Discounts

We don’t want anyone to miss out on this week’s celebrations, so we’re helping new and returning Captains alike to acquire a new vessel and set out on the seas. For the duration of Captain’s Week, all new ship purchases – be they Sloops, Brigantines, or Galleons – come at a 60% discount!

Increased Rewards

If you’re still a little light on coins to purchase a new ship or decorate your current one, fear not! Anyone handing in treasure while sailing on a Captained ship during this Event will enjoy a boost to the amount of gold they receive – and to their reputation, Allegiance and Seasonal Renown too.

Earn Some Stylish Swords!

The Sovereigns have additional rewards tucked away for intrepid pirate Captains. If you hand in enough treasure to them over the course of this Event, you can unlock two new blades befitting a dignified sailor: the Captain’s Rapier and the Captain’s Heavy Sword.

However, the Sovereigns will only bestow these weapons on pirates who hand in eligible treasures – fish, food and Treacherous Plunder for The Hunter’s Call won’t count towards progress. Keep track of how you’re doing via the in-game Special Events menu!

Discounted Merchandise

Want to carry some Captaincy perks into your own home? To tie in with Captain’s Week, the Sea of Thieves 24k Gold-Plated Athena’s Fortune Ship Plaque available from the Rare Store is on offer at a substantial discount from June 15th-22nd (10am UTC)!

Pirate Emporium Sale

Refusing to be outdone by anyone, the Emporium shopkeepers are throwing a special Captain’s Sale! Running alongside Captain’s Week, this in-game sale focuses on cosmetics and items relevant to Captaincy, including Ship’s Crests, Rare Trinket Bundles and, for the first time, Ship Renaming Deeds.
