Friend just installed the game and is unable to play as he cannot choose a pirate to begin sailing. Nothing renders/spawns for him to pick/favourite. We've tried restarting the game, rebooting PC and resetting internet. Not really sure what else we can do. This is on PC btw. Any one know how to solve this issue? Unable to choose a pirate as they don't load in. Any known fixes or what causes this?

One thing you could try is the following...
- Press the Windows key
- Type in Settings and press ENTER
- Select System
- In the search box located at the top left corner type in: App and features and press ENTER
- Locate and select Sea of Thieves on the Apps list (Use the search function if needed)
- Select Advanced Options
- Select Reset
