reputation on completing voyages

  • @tigert0b Decent idea, it would lessen the blow if my loot then got stolen as I would have at least gained sone rep. How would it work for Merchant quests, would you get rep as soon as you catch an animal or would you have to get all of them on the list ?

  • @project-ljp In this game you get rep only for selling loots. Does not matter if you complete quest or not.

  • @mrn-monir I know that, but I was under the impression that the original poster was suggesting getting rep before handing on your loot

  • @project-ljp Yes. We should get some rep for completing voyages . Thats most common sense. I don;t know how devs did not implement it,.

  • @mrn-monir I think it’s a good idea. That way if my loot gets stolen, even though I won’t get any gold. I’ll at least have gained some rep, so my time wouldn’t have been completely wasted

  • I agree. Would make actually getting all the chests more worth it as opposed to just getting a couple good ones and maybe some extra loot from the islands and just going to sell them. I do this a lot when playing solo as it just doesn't feel worth it to risk getting all the chests.

  • reputation just by definition should be awarded for doing the adventures not what you hand in. Just as stealing a chest does not mean you gain reputation for being good at finding gold. Reputation should also not be linked to the chest you find but the mission you take. The current system makes no sense at all.

    Selling the goods should get you gold, doing the voyage should gain reputation the 2 should not be the same.

    For instance in the real world if someone goes looking for treasure day in day out but someone steals it from him they may be able to sell it and get money but the guy who looked for it has the experience in looking for gold.

  • I disagree with this myself and think the current system makes sense. After all, you get a mission to recover item(s) and if you don't deliver said items, you shouldn't get any rep from them.

    However, I would like to see a small rpg element to our characters in which they could earn xp for actions in voyages so we could upgrade our dig speed and things like that.
