I hope they leave it basically as it is, using other crews to summon it, but make it a raid. You'll know a Meg is around because the location will randomly pop up on your map (picture below). You sail there, find other crews, play the tune (which you just have now) and summon it. Upon killing it you go to Merrick on SBC for a bounty of say 10k gold. This would keep the core mechanic of THD in place as well as keeping crews working together. It will be a shame if what they've built is just reverted to a random solo event with no reward like the kraken.
