A suggestion for the Bilge Rat Commendations and titles.

    Some people on the Forum have not been as happy with the Bilge Rat commendation change that will allow players to complete them and get doubloons even after the event is over. A suggestion i just wanna give that might also fix a problem people have with the changes to the other commendations, is that some commendations just like with the Cursed Sails ones, can not be gained after the events are over.

    These would mostly be the legendary commendations. All other commendations, however, from these events would still be gain able. The reason i feel that the Legendary commendations should not be do able after the events, is so that the titles connected with those legendary commendations thus feel more special for the players who put work in getting it while the event was live. It also gives people more reasons to try and play while the events is happening other than getting the time limited cosmetics.

    Whilst I see your point of view, I respectfully disagree. As someone who has very little time to play the game yet still classifies himself as a massive fan, I feel that I would be at a disadvantage. to those who get 20 to 30 hours of Game Time per week as opposed to my 5 I feel like this could make it a little bit more inclusive for people like myself

    I have mixed feelings on this. Part of me agrees, part of me doesn't. Part of me doesn't seem why some things can't be brought back for another short time and then cycled out again or leave them in the game for longer periods of time so people can finish them.

    @trickrtreat01 Well this was a possible solution i was thinking off to help players like you, who, because of the changes done to the commendations, felt robbed of that hard work in getting them.

    Although I am fortunate enough to play whenever I like, I'd have to side with those less fortunate.

    I have argued for the new comers against all timed events.
    Up until screwing up the existing achievements, by introducing time limited events Rare seemed to be focused only on those of us who've played since launch which wasn't fair on any new comers to the game or those with time limitations.

    I hate to buy the game now having missed out on the megalodon event, seeing the highchairs or mermaid statues everywhere and not knowing what they were about. Or the skeleton ships event and the commendations that came with those.
    Let's be honest, the megalodon was an amazing event but it's nothing now. The skelly ship raids are now ignored too.

    The events were content, things to do other than just the 3 factions over and over, they should have remained as open events to do whenever anyone felt like it.
    Who cares when you completed it or having exclusive time limited cosmetics and titles? If you've earned them then you have earned them regardless of when.
