Riddle help

It's a stone statues of a snake

Yeah I did that it didn't work for some reason o well

this isnt working for me i am standing right in front of the statue with my Lantern out and raised and the thing wont update

not the lantern.. get the map out, and read the map ( well the riddle...)

still not working brother i stood literally in front of hit and held the riddle up and nothing...
stone snake.. worshipers painteed on it... baskit with Tartan Snake note

Unfortunately I had the same issue and the painting on the SE didn't work for me

Any luck with this yet? I can't get this to work after 30 minutes of trying. Giving up.

go to the statue and stand in front of it with your lantern out and right click on pc (not sure the button on console) it will raise the lantern and job done.... hope this helps guys and gals

If everyone's riddle is the same as the OP's you have to hold up and read your clue(s), (the scroll with the clues one it) - NOT your lantern.

there are two riddles for it one where you hold up the lantern one where you read the map just walk along the beaches on the right (coming from outpost) and there will be a big shore (more sand) look up a bit towards the center of the island and it will be there.
