Same way you fight the other ship? You blast them with cannons in a PvP match.

i start the fight a sloop vs another sloop not a sloop vs a sloop and a brig

You signed up for a PvP match, you got exactly what your asking for.
Now..what IF that Brig was on your side? and you won...would you still say the same thing?

i think i will put a fence or put us on the edge of the map to do the fight in the rules

What Rules? There are none in PvP. Without Rules, we have tools.

  • Hourglass is not a separate game mode, it's on demand PvP. You are choosing to fight someone, not choosing to enter a game mode. Hourglass is just a way to fast track you to the fighting part of the game. Third partying happens all the time in normal adventure fights. Someone might see a reaper attacking someone and help stop the reaper. Third partying is part of the game, and hourglass is not something separated from the main game.

  • I personally think 3rd partying a HG match is bad form. I am on the HG grind myself for golden bones and it is frustrating to be fighting a sweaty crew and having poachers about.

What does the avg player gain from sinking a HG ship? A flag….. maybe some supps…..

Be honest most do it just to “ruin” another’s day and it’s usually people that don’t/wont HG.

I’d prefer it to just be on a separate server or a spot in the Red Sea.

  • I personally think 3rd partying a HG match is bad form.

Can say the same by having your ship sank when it parked/anchored at an island and got no time to defend, run back to your ship. But players do that. Doing Shrines, completing Forts...very bad to be sank when your not even on your ship. But that how game works in an "Open World"

What does the avg player gain from sinking a HG ship? A flag….. maybe some supps…..

Supplies are in demand. Flags are worth a lot, Commendations for sinking, attacking other player control ships. Plus, 1v1 is never fun, some want a challenge and having multiple ships already in battle is a fun time. Better when a npc threat is involved.
Rare to find players battling outside hourglass "zones" so players will join the fights and "help" there fellow Athena or Reaper.

Be honest most do it just to “ruin” another’s day

Ruin What? You choose PvP/Hourglass and you got...PvP. Only thing ruin is maybe you losing a fight you might lose to anyways.
So far, all these hating on Third party ship fighters are players wanting Arena back. "Fights in off grind zones, red sea, away from others."

and it’s usually people that don’t/wont HG.

Or players who want PvP...and they found it, they want too join. Why are Hourglass PvP players against pvp in a pvp fight?

  • @jon-sea-nah This is how every hourglass player feels, on average. Just ask for a pause and you can double team the third-party pretty consistently

  • @burnbacon the hrg option when we vote if we are in a sloop, brig or galleon this is to fight against the same boat in front and just 1 boat! not 2 or 3 just 1 if I wanted to fight against any type of boat and any number of boats I just go to the high seas and I put the reaper emissary why when we vote and we dive when we come back to the surface it has just 1 boat and the same type as ours because this is pvp mode 1 boat of the same type against another boat in a determined perimeter and you say you do the same thing to sink the first boat I would see you sink a sloop and a brig at the same time solo when you use examples it will be cool that it is achievable

  • @itzeggward I’ve done the double team, however it usually seems that the 3rd party goes after one ship first, obviously and then the other ship capitalizes on it.

I get it, it’s part of the game….. but literally very little value in sinking HG players other than [mod edit] them out of levels and money. If you got the levels and HG value for sinking them I guess I’d be more ok with it.

Sometimes the player I play with want to go and 3rd party, I generally refuse as I know the frustration

  • @you-are-cute938 [Mod edit]

Just put the hg in the Red Sea. Again no benefit to going after them except to “ruin someone’s day” usually dudes wearing the spinal or dark warmth costume as they are upset they won’t ever get the curse.

    Just my 2 pennies

  • @jon-sea-nah I'm also on the grind to gold bones and I welcome 3rd partying because it makes the game fun. I'm at servants 372

  • Roger you and bacon enjoy it

Most people in hg think it’s trash but you are free to do you

  • @potatosord gl cuh

  • Most people in hg think it’s trash but you are free to do you

Yeah, most doesnt equal all. Majority of the players who play, have no problems and continue to enjoy themselves. Forums/Reddit complaints don't add up. Very small problem.

  • It sucks, unlikely to change though for reasons stated. In adventure there's no fair fighting nothing stopping multi ship battles and who 3rd party randomly choose to help. The devs have tried to limit by not allowing invasion with other ships nearby as people were setting up ambushes early on in hourglass. One of my best fights snd fondest memories was actually against a brig and 2 sloops as a duo, not that id want that to happen often 😅
