Taking a moment to appreciate the mods

  • Y'all have a hard and often thankless job to do, and you do it well.

Especially on the topics of controversial issues, you are all excellent at knowing when the line is drawn between discussion of the issue and when it's devolved into personal attacks!

tbh I'm not sure how you you don't blow up at us half the time!

So cheers to you and yours!

  • There are some tough weeks ahead for forum mods, these people are not going to stop.

  • [mod edit]

  • @shodhornet16837 If you have any issue with or wish to appeal any moderation actions you can do so via Support.

  • Rare's overall environment that they have is interesting to me and imo impressive.

They have their leanings and views (which they make pretty obvious) while doing something that is becoming more "rare", they keep people/voices around that are substantively free to disagree and even get (imo) overly critical.

Many of us are quite different on the forums, many of the partners really are quite different in some ways.

The mods help support an overall environment that is built on valuing feedback and a variety of different opinions/personalities (within the rules).

Don't really see it that often, at least not as consistent as it is around SoT. It's the good stuff.

  • Agreed, they are doing a great job at relaying the dev's vision and message, their patience rivals the stubbornness of people willingly ignoring rules, concepts and reasons explained over and over again.

  • I can only picture the book they must follow, along with the "Copy/paste" answers :P

  • Public management sucks💜💜💜💜💜

  • They do a good job for real. One of those jobs where if you make a mistake it is very noticeable but if you are going a great job you are not noticed doing it. I think they really strike a great balance between interceding and allowing forum topics to flow.

  • Mod work sucks to do and it can be a bit frustrating to have to keep such a professional, unbiased and calm attitude towards some people at times, so its a very respectable thing for them to do.

  • Moderation is not easy - often, having to put your own feelings and opinions aside to uphold the peace and enforce the rules of a community can be draining, especially in the face of criticism. These are more often unpaid "jobs" as well. There may be some perks, but they mostly do it for the love of the community.

You don't have to agree with everything they do, it's never personal if you get mod edited, but show them respect for all the time and energy they give.

    To the mods! 🍻Sláinte!

  • Well, the latest batch of [Mod Edit] moderators have to deal with [Mod Edit] like [Mod Edit] and you just know those [Mod Edit] players will not stop until [Mod Edit] so I just want to say [Mod Edit].

  • @foambreaker I like what you [mod edit]ing did there!
