Server Merges are too aggressive now

  • Ever since the "Boats can spawn closer to you" update in Season 18, it seems server merges are also way too aggressive to merge you away.
I understand that it leads to more interactions if ships spawn closer, but spawning ships away despite only being a few tiles away isn't the way to solve it, as it removes the element of revenge fights.

I had this happen a lot more in Season 18 (one including the bug where loot could be merged away from your very own ship), but our Galleon was also moved away yesterday after sinking once against a two-Galleon alliance were we sunk both ships before. This was a merge on the island, not a forced merge after sinking too often in a row.

We fought at Wanderer's Refuge, but were merged away at Discovery Ridge, so we should have even been close enough to sail back and claim our loot.

  • You must of missed the posts where players hated other players spawning so close or coming back for revenge after being sunk.

Nobody like being attacked by same crews, it was a weird big thing that the dev listen too and made it so it didn’t happen. But then we got this update again that made those empty seas feel more alive. And again nobody is happy with that.

    • Being attacked to much or feel seas are empty
    • Spawning to far or to close

Nobody is happy when one over powers the others. There no balance here only complaints.
