Well RARE, you fooled me yet AGAIN on the Emporium?

  • Logged into game and saw new store items. Bought the cat and dog skeletons. Remembered the Xbox Store sometimes has bundles.

New bundle: cat and dog skeleton for $15.29 that also includes 25,000 gold coins and 1,000 ancient coins.

I spent $13.00 on the skeleton pets IN GAME. 1,000 ancient coins cost $8.99 and 25k gold is essentially free loot/time saved. DO THE MATH.

Yeah, i got suckered by overpriced in-game store YET AGAIN.

No way to get refund of IN GAME ancient coins, and I'm too angry to buy the buy knowing i am rebuying content a 2nd time. JESUS RARE!!

FEEDBACK: Can they consider adding a replacement item when game detects you already own a part of a bundle or a discount on Microsoft store when you own part of a bundle like how Apex Legends and World of Warships does it? Though still is bad with its creditation system.

  • or, why is there NOT a link to opening the Xbox store regarding said bundles??? the in game fantasy immersion is already broken since the prices in US dollars is now listed in game!!

  • Go through customer support, not the forums.

  • @blam320 i was going to do that, but i doubt they'll do something but i will try.

Be stubborn and they shall listen.

  • Buyer beware! 😏

  • That's impulse buying for you, a lesson learned perhaps? Still, thanks for the heads up. 👍

One of my crewmates managed to get his coins refunded.

You actually have to deal with Microsoft and receive your money back from them.

The two pets were 999 coins, so less than the $13.00 ($8 or $9 I guess) - still cheaper to buy the bundle but only around 2 bucks ? I bought them in the emporium, no need (yet) for having an extra 1000 coins credit for a month or two ...

  • How does it go again? "Fool me once... something something"?

Always have a look at the bundles before buying anything, just in case. 👍

  • Wait im confused here, the bundle on the store is the cat and dog, PLUS 1000 Ancient coins and the 25000 gold so how do you compare that to the bundle in game that only sells you the can and dog for 1000 coins? You only get the cat and dog IN GAME store, no extra 1000 ancient coins and the gold so whats the problem?

  • Sounds to be more of a user problem and not company’s. Didn’t do any research and bought and....Ingame non physical item. Upset over it.

    Yeah...

  • @burnbacon No, if he was right it would have been disgusting scummy way to make more money.
To create two diffrent prices on the same platform is horrible, just because some people fell for it does not mean its ok, its just stupid to try to justify it with stright face.
But after ive checked it i think that he just didnt noticed that the bundle on the Xbox store or Windows store is a bundle of the cat&dog PLUS 1000 AC.

Just to lock up this conversation, they refunded my emporium money, revoked my pet access and i then got Microsoft bundle so got pet and bonuses now.

    Thank you Rare.
