1.Shark bait cove and talk to the guy in the southeast.
2.he gives you a speaking trumpet
3.go to the middle of the Island and find the book at the big Stone.
4. Go to golden Sands outpost and talk to the bartender.
5.Go to L14. Merrick's shipwreck is there.
Tells you about another barmaid. T - something. In a Wild spott - Wild Seas outpost is Dagger Tooth.
6. Go to S16, Book will be close to Enter of underwater cave
7. Go back to Merrick

Wondering the same. There was a comment about the tavern keeper and a golden place, so I’m heading to Golden Sands now

There is a clue there that makes me think Golden Sands is the next place. I’m on my way now I’ll keep you updated. Also a couple of the guys there had trumpets but I forgot to ask them where they got them because they don’t seem to be in the equipment inventory

Huh. He didn’t give me one... was I supposed to talk to him again after reading the journal?
@fgfoot when i stopped talking to he said say hi to tina for me i am thinking the barmaid tina knows somthing
@fgfoot nothing surprisingly. She just had the same old dialogue. But I honestly think I might’ve screwed up. For one thing I never got the trumpet so I must’ve not completed the right dialogue or something, so I’m turning around and heading all the way back ☹️

So just to verify...Merrick told a story and explicitly said Black Salt/Sand Atoll (or how it's called)...that was not a lead?

Ah. Well it was worth a try. I’m going to go to shark bait again make sure I don’t miss any dialogue trees, get the trumpet, and then I guess head back and see if Tina has anything new to say to me
