    In this game, other than the ability to take ships as a prize, it also lacks a navy. There should really be a navy for players to join, a fourth faction/vendor so pirates can be pitted against the formidable force of a navy on the high seas.

    Add a navy harbour to a few outposts that sell naval voyages and sell navy themes cosmetics etc.
    People are complaining that real pirates hardly ever attacked each other in ship battles because they had to worry about a common enemy, give us our common enemy, give us s navy.

    I mean, if the game wasn’t full of hyper twitchy griefers with no mic there would be nothing stopping a bunch of like minded players getting all “admiraled” up and devoting their time to policing the seas rather than treasure hunting? I think our common enemy is going to be whatever comes out of the “hungering deep” next month.

    I think someone already had an idea like this. Sunken ships(or killed pirates) would give out some special loot sellable at this new vendor with value based on how many others did that particular ship(or player) attack or kill. I'm all for it.
