L**o cheaters are going crazy right now.

Whats really scary is following a corporation blindly just because you personally commited so much time, accepting a half done project, then defending it to the death and never holding them accountable. Ever read any history? You know what happens to people that do that? I don't think anybody wants this to fail. I actually have more respect for the ones trying to hold them accountable than the blind followers.

@rager82 I hate to say if, but this game is DOA. I personally love it as I sail irl; but there isn’t enough content I’m over half way to lvl50, and it’s only sunday😳 once folks become legends expect the seas to be rampant with toxic crews. cheaters aside, this game has so many issues, c****y mer thing/respawn, sunken chests that can never be recovered(yet they’re right there), random disconnects, unrealistic wind patterns, horrible stealth mechanics, broken voice communications. also, just read an article on VOAT where an ex employee explained how the game was much better on the unity engine and the sloop or galleon took over a year to develop😳 if there are cheaters now, this game is done. cross-plat was beyond a stupid idea🤔

@rager82 so you're inky going from point A to point B without taking little detours along the way to what seems interesting?

I mean, if that's how you wanna play then go ahead, but... that's kinda dull if you do it that way.

No...not having anticheat system ready at launch...was a bad decision.

I just encountered the "just appear on your boat out of nowhere" cheat. 5 different times from the same guy. No cannon shots or anything. He just spawns right on the deck. The skipping fast thru the water is a bug, not a cheat. It's from doing a power sword stab standing in shallow water. These people that cheat are just low lifes.

I do the sword skipping across water all the time. What this guy was doing was skip skip skip. He went from a port all the way over to a skull fort just by skipping across water. So it was either a graphics error where I did not see his boat or some cheat that lets you spam the sword skill.

@uberwiggett My crew and I had a very similar experience. We are not the best players in the world, but we don't completely suck either. We have been playing together for several years too. So we communicate well. Had one guy suddenly appear on our ship, and completely wipe us out. Even as we blasted him in the chest with the blunderbuss multiple times. We also put several cannon balls into their ship before they ever returned fire. Only to watch their ship start to sink, and then rise back out of the water. Also had an explosion on deck without a cannon ball, and nobody there to set off a powder keg. Got one shotted several times by them. All on an island where a fort was. Waiting for Skull and Bones to come out now. I think this one is dead. Happy gaming to you and your crew. Hopefully you won't run into anymore of these issues, but I think it will be a while before Rare fixes it. They don't seem to be too worried about this issue. Yet.

@boaton I agree with you that there are a lot of issues on top of the cheating. Really expected a lot more out of this game. The mer thing is very lame. Getting kicked all the time is another problem. The wind patterns are bad. It seems like I am going into the wind no matter which way I go. All together, it is a really broken game, made worse by the cheating. The water is amazing, and as a sailing sim, it would be awesome. Also needs some type of co-op with just friends, PvE. Glad I didn't spend money on it. Got it through Game Pass. Hopefully Skull and Bones turns out good.
