please for the love of god fix the health bar sometimes it updates so late and rework the Hud so every time you get close to an island it doesn't cut half of your screen with black bars. even when you put the interface on simple its still so annoying the milestones and when you sell loots, those also need a redesign. these are very simple changes that would go a long way.

@raidyn128460 you can turn your milestones off in the hub. It at least cuts down on those popping up constantly
@burnbacon exactly that is what I have done on mine. I have everything turned off. Easiest way to not be bothered by anything. Map tells you where you are if you don't know where each island is already by heart

Barely notice the banner for those, barely an inconvenience once you've gotten tunnel vision and know your way around a ship. Everything becomes like breathing; you know how to do it without looking. Same with the health bar; you get hit, and you, by memory, know the damage you've taken for that split second.
HG you have about 10 seconds of uptime and 20 seconds before both ships are even close to starting combat. You're fine.
@hyskeign bro, it changes all banners to be not cover the bottom right and left corners. it's not the island banner setting

It changes letterbox banners so the bottom part has cutouts on either side for health and ammo.For island banners specifically, just use the slimline setting. Island banners will just be the top center of the screen.

@captain-knyt no one is mad. The feature doesn't exist. This has been confirmed by support, the discord and the mods of this community forum. There is no way to eliminate the lower banner from anything other than island banners. Thats why I made the post in the first place. Im not sure why you're having a hard time understanding my meaning but there is no reason to be so frustrated with a stranger. Please calm down and take a breath. [mod edit]

And is there a way to remove the lower banner completely so it doesn't block the lower half of the screen at all? Because the purpose of my feedback was to ask for all of those changes because those are the issues I am dealing with.

Yes, I double checked on one of my VODs and it applies to all those letterbox banners.

Sadly, no. Only for islands, by using the Slimline setting.
Because the purpose of my feedback was to ask for all of those changes because those are the issues I am dealing with.
I think the reason they don't do this is because it displays the crew names. So that black background is there to make them clear. They seem to be determined that crew names are on it.
I'm not saying it couldn't be improved but it would require them to redesign the entire banner system. I'm not sure that's a priority for Rare right now.
This "reduced" setting seems to be a quicker fix and it at least addresses the main issues that people were having - banners blocking health and ammo.

I would still like the setting to be available, mainly because the name plate tends to cover the interact buttons whenever they pop up on screen and can be detrimental when you are engaged in something pressing. Hopefully, once Rare figures out what direction they want to go with the game they will have time to make more QoL changes!

Yep. It's not ideal. It can block cannons, for example. In theory, they could move the names to the top of the screen, but that means creating a whole second banner style, I would think. They also seem to want the default experience to be "cinematic" so I doubt they would get rid of the current default banners entirely.
Hopefully, once Rare figures out what direction they want to go with the game they will have time to make more QoL changes!
We can only hope so. But they don't tend to work fast. It may take them years, literally.
