It was happy with the news of a sound slider only for cannon hits. But why you guys put a new sound when hitting a cannon ball? A new sound, that looks really similar to one of when hitting an enemy player. So annoying being confused by this new sound, i always think i killed someone.
Why you guys changed the cannon hit sound?

Not the biggest fan, wish they kept the original cannon hit audio with the current separate audio options (Which is great and we have been asking for this feature for years.)
However over time I think I and most players will get used to the new audio where it won't be a problem anymore.

True, but still don't know why Rare added a new sound
maybe they are going for something less harsh
the new sound is less harsh on the ears I think. it's got a bit of a silencer effect to it.

Also, i just noticed that there is chance when hitting a cannon that a sound of a monkey getting scared plays. Why is that?
lol well this likely confirms something I was 90% sure I heard when taking out a skelly ship yesterday
