An Actual Compromise to PvE Gameplay

  • @daringclarky I interact with at least one ship every time I play. But I also play for 4 ish hours and run as a reaper emissary sooo I kind of look for the engagement. I'm just tired of all the posts about pve servers instead of people trying to present innovative solutions

  • Sooo you want a pve server plain and simple. The threat of pvp isn't even that much some days I don't even see a ship for hours or if I do there doing there own thing. Not everyone is out for blood

    As admirable as it is the main solution is to do nothing.

    PVE only or PVP only are a minority in the community.
    The bulk of the player base is pvevp.
    This is why when people talk of people quitting the game i laugh because it hit a milestone and has never been as popular.

    You dont need a solution. The game is fine as a pvevp game and clearly even the whining pve only players care about the game enough to join its forum. So relax. It doesnt need fixing :)

  • @daringclarky does the game need this? No not really.

    Will it be fine? Sure.

    But, it could add another option for play style and depending on how they do it (there are a lot of possibilities) it could be a lot of fun and address several issues (server hopping, the pve posters, etc)

  • You are trying to change the format of the game from a shared open world to single player closed world mode by removing said players from the open population of the server.

    Ok so I spawn in scuttle my ship and blunder bomb myself to death putting me in the sea of damned where now I have to kill a boss to escape. So I kill the ai boss get rewarded and than rinse and repeat.

    You don't see a problem with this? Where do you see the dev's vision of player interaction in all of this?
