Disclaimer, this has nothing too do with pricing and what not, but more of a potential frustration that Rare might do. So as many have noticed over that past year+ cosmetics have, for the most part, trickled in. Very rarely was their a dump of numerous amounts. My concern is that since the launch of the Emporium, will suddenly see big drops of cosmetics. If this is the case, does anyone else feel that Rare just held on to cosmetics rather than just release them, even though their was many cries for more cosmetics? In a game with no progression, something like having gold sinks for attire would have been nice.
Don't mistake me, I am all for Rare making profit, but it feels somewhat scummy to just hold onto cosmetics for a very long time just to capitolize on micro-transactions. We already know that Rare held onto certain cosmetics til later in the game like the Shark Hunter set being in the beta, I also think the Reaper's Sail as well, unsure I wasn't in beta.
In a time of scummy micro-transaction tactics, it would be nice to have some level of decorum with a game developer. This is just ranting, not making accusations, but hopefully Rare might add future transparency when it comes to micro-transactions.
