Just finished doing the wilds for the alliance sails commendation and my whole crew did not get awarded this commendation!! - it’s the only one we needed except other timed ships, after constantly trying, random ships joining over the weeks with wrong sails and to finally complete it.... and then have this happen?! I’m furious - can anything be done please?

Sounds like an annoying issue indeed, although it's unfortunately quite common to have issues with commendations. I wouldn't worry too much about it though as all the information is stored serverside, so if you did it correctly it'll probably be rewarded as soon as the commendations are fixed.
As others said though, it's still a good idea to create a support ticket just to be sure. This can be done with the link below:

@bloodangels1979 did it again, though they did promise to get those who have the bug the commendation on a future patch.
