Sudden Otterbeard

Hey,

I am running into the same problem. How did you fix it? I tried chatgpt and following that link sent to you but still having the same issue. If you have any solutions or ways to make it work, lmk. I am reinstalling the game hoping that works. But if you have any solutions that would be great.

@tenjbjr10 Had this happen about an hour and a half ago, after playing for hours. Decided to try a open brig run instead, now its throwing otterbeard at me. Reset microsoft store, deleted sea of thieves cache, uninstalled and reinstalled game. NOTHING is working. Not sure what the cause is but I've owned this game for years now. Suspect it's something on Rare's end, it's a shame we have to miss the tail end of Gold & Glory. Hopefully it gets resolved soon.

@ravenwand Yes it happened an hour and half ago. I tried everything and nothing is working as well. So i don't know what else i can do. Was trying to see if someone was able to fix it.

This is also happening to me, no idea why and none of the fixes people say work have done anything for me. Played just fine yesterday

Ok yeah based on that post it seems alot of people are getting the 0x87e107df code in various games wich is an error with the license

Yea apparently its xbox live service thats down, people cant even play cyberpunk bcuz it requires the internet connection. RIP

@pandakrieger1 if your on pc go to search bar type run then put wsreset then launch SOT

@true-mm-14 For me it worked you need to type wsreset.exe

it worked for a few minutes i clicked set sail then got otterbeard. I mean i know the games only been out for 8 years...

Had same Problem i fix it ->

Delete the global EAC folder at: C:\Program Files (x86)\EasyAntiCheat_EOS

Press Windows Key + R, paste the command below, and hit Enter:

"D:\Sea thieves\Sea of Thieves\Content\Installers\EasyAntiCheat_EOS_Setup.exe" install 0367a3a8ea344f08851d76facf6f66d3
(Note: If other users have the game on a different drive like C:\ or E:, they just need to change the letter at the very beginning of the path).

Click Yes on the administrator prompt, then restart your PC.
