I live in the USA and I recently found out about the oreo shipset which could only be gained IN EUROPE???? This is just plain nuts. It's not fair to other players who can't get these thing while others can. What is it with Rare and FOMO??? Please bring this back and make available to us 'mericans

@snugplayer18335 well the america’s have had their fair share of exclusives as well, one that comes to mind was the Chips Ahoy promotion but i believe there where more
@snugplayer18335 wait till you realise that one of the most exclusive cosmetics has previously bee given away at a twitch con, for which you had to be present the day off.
And then there is the golden banana set before the game even released
You might be pleased to hear, that this was one of the worst promotion campaigns I ever took part in. People could easily cheese that little game you‘d had to finish, so that Oreo actually run out of codes for the promotional giveaway. Although I, and many others, did take part, I never received any code for the cosmetics from Oreos marketing team. They messed that up really bad.
I remember another similar giveaway that was even worse, cause they printed the codes for cosmetics on the outside of the package. Can’t recall the brand though …
Long story short: Sea of Thieves (or rather their business partners’) promotion campaigns for cosmetics usually turn out to be a complete disaster here in Europe. It’s actually embarrassing.

That would be chips ahoy promotion in the US, but the reason for printing on the outside was due to legislation around such give aways they weren’t allowed to do make purchase mandatory

This really isn't fair. the oreo stuff is like 30 cents on some black market thing, so that's fine. BUT THE FACT I CAN'T GET THE PRINGLE SAILS???????????? This is soooo rigged. You have to have an address for the Pringle thing, and Since I live in the US, I can't. If you gonna keep it to just the UK, please let us americans be able to still get the code. Rare is so bad about these restricted promos.
@snugplayer18335 It works both ways. There have been numerous promotional items that were restricted to one area or another.
Things only available in Europe and therefore not available to those outside Europe, but also items only available in the US not available in the other 99% of the world.

@Look-Behind-You aye aye sir! The only USA promo I heard of was the chips ahoy (which was 7 years ago...) And pringle/mtndew was a lame tankard I don't really care about. since my guild is all food themed, I really want to get as many food themed ship items as possibleI don't particularly care about the special pringles/oreos being in one country/group of countries (though I gotta say, a SoT pringles can would be SICK) I 100% understand how hard it is to put these things everywhere (but just give all the countries SoT pringle cans when you ship em out. Literally 60% get chucked anyway. They just pringles anyway, not solid gold) But if you can't share the chips with the world, PUH-LEASE make the codes/sails obtainable in other countries. Maybe make em like the christmas bundle, where they just send you a pile of codes for you and your buddies. And make the oreo ship come back (Oreos are like my favorite and I want the ship SO BADLY)
@snugplayer18335 I see your point dude, yet you don't have to own every cosmetic in SOT. These kind of promotions are kind of fun cause you get an idea about the crew when you spot their vessel on the High Seas.
